Can I just say that in my residual knowledge from my childhood horse phase (thanks Nicci), I happen to know that in Mulan the horses the Huns are shown riding throughout the movie are called Przewalski’s horses, a now endangered subspecies of horse that is literally the only breed of truly wild and undomesticated horse in history. (Even American Mustangs are not considered “wild,” only feral because they are defended from previously domesticated horses.)
Just let that sink in for a moment.
Disney made the Huns in Mulan so intimidating and dangerous and terrifying they literally tamed and trained the most untamable type of horse in history.
I don’t give a damn what your opinion of Disney might be; if nothing else they will forever take the gold for attention to detail in their shit.
