My husband and I went to the botanical garden in Amsterdam. I have a facination for zoomed in pictures ;)
From a Sunday last month at @hortusamsterdam. I fully intended to draw the plants inside the conservatory as if they were behind glass, sort of faded and indistinct, and then I just did not do that at all and instead they look as if they are behind bars. Were they caught in some nefarious act? Anyway it is so much fun to do everything in colored pencil (with some watercolor), and someday I will figure out the right combination of colors to carry with me that will get the job done without weighing my bag down too much! Like, how could I have predicted that I’d want neon pink for this one?
