A very new tactic of domestic abuse is S E P A R A T I O N - A B U S E it's a way the perpetrator can still keep controlling the life's of the people he thinks he owns. It's becoming more and more common. Where they can actually deliberately not arrange contact or financial support for their children but then still pay 1000's of pounds to take the other parent to court. "Claiming they can't see them as the reason" but usually the real reason is they don't care about their children or how they are been supported they just want to destroy the other parent knowing that they are infact the ones disrupting any arrangements been totally un amicable and coercively abusive. This causes distress and worry for the other parent as they then have to prove what is happening and on top of that they are usually caring for the children emotionally financially and physically alone and trying to move on with their life's and heal. Healing cannot take place when they are been taken to court every other week as they are paying and usually have barristers and because of legal aid cuts the other parent is usually alone with no legal representation at all. If it wasn't bad enough that you are a lone parent that someone is able to rein more terror down on you even after you have left them at the expense of their own kids. So again I want to highlight that just upping and leaving an individual with this type of complex personality is emotional torture it is an ongoing abuse tactic that needs highlighting fast it's started to be called separation abuse legal abuse family court abuse and coercive abuse.
