These Hot Cocoa Squares are a delightful twist on traditional brownies, with the addition of mini marshmallows and chocolate chips for a cozy hot cocoa flavor.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter. 2 cups granulated sugar. 4 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 cup mini marshmallows. 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips evenly over the batter. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
