Justicia para Ernesto Luis Ferrer Laffita. "No me voy pa Cuba." El Hotel Carrión en Quito, Ecuador ha sido testigo de violaciones de derechos humanos contra emigrantes. A pesar de que La Constitución de la República Ecuatoriana- Artículo 416 #6 - "propugna el principio de ciudadanía universal, la libre movilidad de todos los habitantes del planeta"(…) y #7- "exige el respeto de los derechos humanos, en particular de los derechos de las personas migrantes "(…), dichos derechos han sido violados y por ende el gobierno de Rafael Correa, quien ha protestado por el maltrato a emigrantes, viola su propia constitución al cometer delitos como golpizas por parte de militares, abusos e irregularidades en el proceso de legalización contra los emigrantes. Dicho sea de paso, existe un total silencio y desinterés por parte del Cónsul cubano en Ecuador José Julian Cala, cuya respuesta ante esta situación ha sido no hacerce cargo y disentir de todo lo que acontezca respecto a los cubanos detenidos. Esta situación hace recordar el calvario de los cubanos detenidos en Bahamas el año pasado. A pesar de todo varios de los jóvenes detenidos, entre ellos Ernesto Luis Ferrer Lafitta, han dado la guerra y luchan por sus derechos. Este valiente info-activista ha denunciado no solo los abusos, sino la corrupción del juzgado en su caso. Ferrer Laffita tuvo que irse de Cuba por motivos de persecución política, ya que estaba involucrado en el rap cubano contestatario (Los Aldeanos, Escuadron Patriota). La página de facebook S.O.S fué creada con motivo de denunciar la xenofobia y los abusos en el Hotel Carrión. Ernesto fue deportado a #Cuba en enerp del 2015.

Hotel Carrión located in Quito Ecuador has been transformed into a detention center/ prison where there are 58 immigrants of various nationalities including Cubans. Even though Article 416 of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador "advocates the principle of universal citizenship, the free movement of all inhabitants of the planet" (...) and "demands observance of human rights, especially the rights of migrant persons" (...), such rights have been violated by president Rafael Correa in ways of physical abuse by the military and irregularities in the proceedings with legalization paperwork. Therefore the president of Ecuador, who has advocated for human rights of immigrants, is violating the constitution of his own country and not being true to his word. Furthermore, there is silence and indifference from José Julian Cala, the Cuban ambassador in Ecuador, who has said that he is not interested in doing anything in regards to the Cuban detainees. The situation in the hotel/prison takes us back to the episode of abuses and human rights violations against Cubans in The Bahamas in 2013. Against all the odds, some of the young detainees in Quito, among them Ernesto Luis Ferrer Lafitta, have been making a stand fighting for their rights. Ernesto arrived in Ecuador in December 2013 fleeing from political persecution since he was involved in the Cuban Rap movement; a group of artists with strong lyrics that speak agaisnt the Castro dictatoriship and about the reality of the Cuban civil society (Los Aldeanos, Escuadron Patriota).The facebook page S.O.S was created in order to show the abuses and xenophobia in Hotel Carrión. Ernesto was deported back to Cuba in January 2015.
