Korra rolled over in bed to face Tahno, eyes still half shut from sleep and blankets tangled around her. A soft smile was on her face, though, because today was a very special day indeed. She could sense he was beginning to wake as well, so she reached over to brush some hair out of his face, and as she did so said softly, "Happy birthday, pretty boy."
He hadn't really been counting on her remembering—not with everything on her plate as of late—and she had only been back for a few weeks, anyway. Still, that didn't stop his childish excitement on the morning of his birthday. Some things never changed, and Tahno loved any reason to celebrate, any reason to drink from a bottle of aged wine and listen to the songs of Republic City and live the finest life that could've been.
He stirred lightly under her touch, for she wasn't quite as stealthy as he, and her fingers dusted across his forehead, tickling the skin, and with (false) reluctance, his eyes fluttered open.
Spirits, wasn't she a sight to behold in the morning. Twenty four years, and he had only spent months with her, and had even fewer counts of waking up beside her in leisure. A soft, sleep-stiff smile drew across his lips.
"Rise and shine?" He hummed, brows lifting with the question, because it was so incredibly rare for her to wake up early, and he debated whether or not to let the question on his tongue spill from his lips
{ It's a special day, Uh-vatar }
"Happy birthday, pretty boy."
He pressed his lips together, supressing a wide, foolish grin, and snaked his arms around her body, pulling her close enough to kiss.
"Well," He pressed a short kiss to her cheek——one that promised of more, if she'd be so generous. "Aren't you on top of things."
