hey Mettaton, I love you a lot.. you're my favorite person in the underground, I need help. my brother is mean to me about my drawings and tells me they are cringe and I won't get anywhere with them.. i draw lots of pictures of you and he hates them all... i should give up..

Honey, if your confidence is low enough that your brother of all people can kick you down a notch or two, then that’s your problem right there! It’s not your art. Your art is harmless. Your art is a wonderful thing; you made it, and it’s a showcase of your personality. Everyone starts somewhere, you know! You’re on your way to better and better art, and the only person who can stop you is yourself.

Draw for yourself for a while. If you want to improve, work on the basics. Draw life. Draw what you see. Don’t get better out of spite, but his face will be priceless when your art has improved tenfold. 

Your brother isn’t your judge. No one is, but yourself if you choose to. You have the control here! 

By the way, your art is cute! I just checked it out, and it’s got so much wonderful potential!! I’m rooting for you and your art. <3
