once my bf asked me to write him a story, so I wrote this...

Prince Alec was the sarcastic ruler of a kingdom nestled between two mountains. He wore a crown made out of pure bronze, and a cape made out of velvet. Unfortunately, he is not the main character of this story.

Prince Alec's beautiful, intelligent knight Emily, however, is. She was braver than anyone else in the kingdom, and she spent her time battling monsters in the forest and saving the kingdom from utter destruction. One day, Prince Alec came to Lady Emily. "Emily, my kingdom's bravest, best, most beautiful and wonderful knight!! The kingdom needs your help!! There's a big scary dragon in the north caves, and you need to go and slay it before it burns any more villages and steals any more gold!"

The brave knight Emily nodded and grabbed her sword and shield before leaving the castle and mounting her trusted Steed. She galloped for three days and nights over prairies and through valleys, until she reached the swamps. She couldn't take her trusted steed with her, though, because horses don't fare so well in swamps. "Goodbye, trusted Steed," she said, patting the horse on the neck and sending him home. She then began the last bit of her trek on foot.

Emily trudged through the swamp, although it smelled like dog butts. After a while though the fog set in and she became lost. Just when she thought she couldn't possibly find her way again, a small dwarf emerged from the trunk of a swamp tree. Emily drew her sword. "Be ye friend or foe??" she demanded, and the dwarf just shrugged. "Neither," he said, walking away. Emily was confused. She was used to having the forest creatures eagerly offer her help on her quests, but this dwarf was just an asshole.

Not sure what to do, she followed him for a bit until the dwarf lead her out of the swamps. "Thank you, noble dwarf friend," Emily said, bowing graciously. The dwarf turned around, annoyed.

"You're still here?" it asked, shrugging again and picking up pine cones and sticks in the forest he had lead Emily to. Emily smiled and shook her head. What a sad, angry little creature.

Emily's journey continued until she reached the base of the mountaind where the dragon lived. She honestly didn't feel like climbing the mountains, however, so she started shouting. "DRAGON!! IF YOU'RE THERE, COME DOWN HERE!" The dragon burst from the side of the mountain as if in some kind of explosion and rushed down to the base of the mountain to meet Emily.

The knight drew her sword yet again. "I am Emily of the Southern Kingdom!! And I've been sent to slay you, fiend!!"

The dragon, however, was already irate since Emily had woken it up from an afternoon nap. Rather than waiting for Emily to charge him, he just blew a puff of fire at her and knocked her to her feet.

Emily wasn't anticipating fire, and was completely unprepared. "Uh, how about you just don't come to our kingdom anymore please?" The dragon shook his head slowly, his emerald eyes glinting in the sun light.

"Okay, well... I'll just tell Prince Alec you're dead, how about that?" The dragon took off back for his home int he side of the mountain and Emily sauntered back toward her kingdom. If and when the dragon came back to the kingdom, maybe Prince Alec wouldn't notice.
