A big mistake people make when writing him in fics is writing him as someone who isn’t actually an asshole, he’s just an autistic person with really bad anxiety. INCORRECT. He is an autistic person with anxiety who is an asshole. That’s important. He does get better but that’s because he has a major mr darcy/lizzy bennet moment

It is also important to note that he has no clue how to talk to people. You could ask him, is communication a JOKE to you? And actually communication isn’t a joke to him he just doesn’t know how it works or feel like engaging in it with people who arent level five friends with him and even then… but he nods yes because he doesn’t know how to word that and he thinks it would be easier if you just give up on talking to him

He IS the guy standing in the corner at the party meme except people definitely know he is there because he keeps GLARING at them and occasionally leaving his corner to suggest they exchange their party snacks for a handful from the nutritionally balanced veggie meat and cheese tray. If you come up to his corner to talk to him he will start talking about hockey to you or random world war ii facts because he’s one of THOSE white boy history buffs

nobody hates wearing anything silvery. but she wears very summery, garden-y clothes! long skirts and crop-tops and big floppy hats and what have you. no armor. she prefers dull colors, but likes patterns!

would they sing a lullaby, if the opportunity arose?

ori sings this very quietly sometimes, when she thinks no one is listening.

ori... okay. she’s made some of it out of like. hooks and melted chains and what have you. but she’s also taken it from corpses, or she’s had it given to her by small-town flings. she probably still has a necklace from home on her, somewhere, which is like, more expensive than she could comprehend, but she has no idea of that. lol.

are their hands steady?

johnny’s got surgeon’s hands!!! she is so steady all of the time; it’s a bizarre contrast to the rest of her.

what helps them fall asleep when they’re having trouble doing so?

answered for nobody! but ori, as mentioned above, sometimes sings to herself, or she meditates and tries to clear her mind out, if only for some rest.

27: how do they mourn? Not well!! not well, he’s uh. still kinda trying to figure out how to do that himself. When Illy first died Vic kind of just...shut down and pointedly did not think about it as much as physically possible. There was still the subconscious hope that the consecution might have taken, that not knowing one way or another at least left the possibility, so that was a reason not to fully grieve, right? And he had to stay focused and sharp enough to survive as a usually-lone mercenary in countries he was not familiar with. And then he found out the consecution did take. So that raises the fun question of ‘how do you properly mourn for someone who isn’t technically going to stay dead?’ And he does not know. He does not know at all so he is doing his very best to continue not thinking about that part because there’s more pressing things to think about. As with most unfortunate Large Emotions, overall it tends to just get squashed down to be dealt with later. Later has yet to come.

57: what makes them angry? Not much in that like...day to day Vic’s a pretty chill guy. But he does have those two levels of barbarian now and he is noticing that it’s taking a little more effort not to snap at things sometimes. the aforementioned constant squashing down complicated feelings isn’t exactly helping with that, and he is not a fan of raging as a concept but all that to say. His friends being hurt is the main thing. Feeling helpless when things are going bad. People using their power to manipulate or take advantage of others. Practically everything (he knows) about the Cerberus Assembly. Arcanist Beck existing in general.

I do think Nev’s style is sort of like,, fairytalecore? I refuse to call it c*ttagecore due to implications of that general thing but like. Long skirts/dresses OR wide/baggy pants, bandana in hair, flowers hanging at home to dry. Comfy, loose, patterned, embroidered, plenty of buttons/straps and accessories.. here’s her pinterest board! Her current look is inspired by Eastern European fashion!

Agthys is piratecore. Bandanas, scarves, open vests, baggy pants. They’ve embraced the sailor life 100%! Their clothes aren’t well kept but they’re Functional!

Sephie has librarian vibes? Cardigans, sweaters, corduroy skirts, leggings. Comfy and cute, but nothing bright! Sephie likes intense, deep tones in terms of color! dark red, forest green, etc. Lots of pigment but nothing too eyecatching.

Pip is all about Practicality!! Overalls, pants with SO MANY POCKETS. Big oversized jackets. The pockets aren’t just for useful stuff but also for things she picks up along the way. STURDY BOOTS! She’d wear the same pair until it’s completely worn out.

Wyn is. Standard Cowboy but Make It Goth. He’s got the most straightforward fashion aesthetic I think. Mix Dracula and Victorian era Vibes with cowboy attire.. He cleans himself up pretty well I think!

Deliverance’s whole deal is centered around the 1920s! Flapper fashion, the fancy gloves and head accessories and all kinds of beads and pearls.. She’s got Class... Red lipstick and perfect curls is a must.

14. What is something that never fails to make them excited?

he loves getting to try new things, especially food. especially when it’s a recipe he’s created and turned out really well! also learning about others and the stories they have to tell. he’s just one to sit and actively absorb someone else, interjecting and being just joyous about it.

27. Do they have any cool scar stories?

nothing cool necessarily, but he has a couple of small scars on his hands and wrists just from cooking mishaps and when he was learning his magic. he actually has one he loves to tell to newcomers of when he was a little younger, about 14 or 15, and learning how to use some weapons with his father. maybe he’ll get to tell the party!

Yeah! I mean, I think the high side-effect, short-course model has a lot of potential because it says a lot about where the effect is coming from. Like, if a drug has an effect when its in your body, that stops when you stop taking it, that’s one thing, but the fact that these things work long after you stop actively taking them suggest the actual clinical benefit isn’t occurring at the level of the synaptic receptors the drug is interfering with, but that that initial effect is creating some sort of larger scale re-organization up at circuit level. There’s some evidence that that’s how psychedelics work as well, but the research on those is deeply weird and extremely contaminated IMO.
