Man okay so the zoomy fast garter post got me thinking about back when Titus didn’t understand glass. We’d only had him maybe a week, and he would flip out every time we did anything - changed his water, cleaned, made any sudden movements. He would flail-launch himself away from us in under a second and then get stuck against the glass, whipping like crazy, trying to zoom straight through the apparently invisible barrier.

I’m glad he’s chilled out after a year and a half-ish of living in House Bat.

We still can’t pick him up without him panicking, but, we can clean and move around inside the tank without a fuss. We can nudge him and even quasi-lift him inside his tank without him musking or fleeing into walls. It’s a vast improvement.

I have Docs too! They hurt like heck for a few weeks, for me, and then suddenly softened and became amazing. (Though admittedly I still have like, a scarred heel on one side from not wearing enough sock.)
