Found a small Scutigera on the kitchen floor tonight, and it reminded me of this picture that I took a few years ago. Fancy centipede ring. Lol. They're so cute. 🥺

Although they are brushy nightmares, house centipedes are actually salutary guests. inktober day 23: Lunch with a common house centipede
Doesn't everyone stop their morning coffee to take glamour shots of a house centipede? She gave me quite a fright when I found her in the sink, but managed to get her out unharmed! . House centipedes aren't liked by home owners because of their appearance and speed, but these voracious predators eat other arthropods, keeping your house clean and tidy! They usually go unnoticed---until you find them. She started cleaning all of her legs (15 pairs!) and antennae after I captured her. Gotta keep clean!
