Nerd day today! Not in chronological order. Sherlock: we hit Bart’s then Speedy’s / “221b” on N Gower St where we sat long enough to eat crisps and take a bunch of photos for other fans stopping by for the same reason. HP: Kings Cross Station (the line was WAY too long to wait for a proper photo but the shop was great), the History of Magic exhibit at the British Library (AMAZE. I bought the catalog because 😭), and House of MinaLima (the graphic designers for all nine films and the parks). Happy Friday! May it be as whimsical & magical as the #HouseofMinaLima in London! I visited this art gallery/store at the end of my Scotland trip & it was just splendid. If you love the graphic design of the Harry Potter & Fantastic Beasts films (which I do!!), you MUST visit this place. It’s by the movies’ graphic designers & gives you a close up look at all the incredible art & details that help bring the Wizarding World to life. . . Like any good #Ravenclaw, I am a huge fan of paper goods- old books, thick stationary, letterpress prints, & curling-edged maps. So the House of MinaLima was like walking through a dream! It’s a shop/ gallery of design wizardry from the graphic designers of the Harry Potter & Fantastic Beasts movies!! Every issue of The Daily Prophet, every tapestry & textbook cover, every ad & bottle label, the Marauders Map & those famous Hogwarts acceptance letters were designed by these people! Walking through their store was an absolute dream of whimsy & wonder & I wanted to buy EVERY. THING. (📸 of me by @catherine) . . Since we only had one day in London, this was my MUST SEE stop.
