a demonym for queer people who play with and subvert the traditional role of a housewife by learning and applying homemaking skills in a nontraditional context or as part of their queer relationships
this is a term i use for myself to avoid the connotations of ‘housewife’ ^^ its not exactly supposed to be used as a gender, but if you feel it applies to you in that way, go for it! my hope for the term is that it becomes a kind of community or subculture along the same lines as like, cottagecore and ‘farm lesbian’ stuff. basically id like it to be a label which people can use to find self sufficiency and homemaking resources and other queer people who are interested in this while avoiding some of the more icky Traditional Gender Role undertones in most post on these subjects.
