"This session, neither of us Seven will be participating, so all of us have a roughly equal chance at betting on someone impartially. Though since the total is 36 as opposed to a 7-divisible 35, the Captain will always have the one extra person on his betting team.

"Nice to see a handful of new faces. We also changed up how we'll be handling the 'winners' of each team. For us the Crew, the actual gambling money is just between us Seven. However, for each final survivor of each Team, we give a gift. And this time--"

"It's not gonna be as lame as gift cards and knick-knacks! Trust us, you'll love the prizes we're reserving for you all!"

Alexander has lost children and a few past mates, the result of unfortunate incidents or his immortality. The white portion of his hair is a result of a magical burn from placing his ex-stepfather's crown on his head just at it was imbued with a curse from the last human mage in Xandora. Not even Cromwell can restore that part of his mane.

It must be tough being a psychopomp at such an age. Especially one for lost souls. Though tonight is a fairly slow night. Only a handful of souls to lead to the Underworld. Though there is one that couldn't be accounted for… so Anubis may have to seek this one out.

He finds that lost soul… at a park. A man has fallen prone, face obscured but bloodied. There are claw marks and feathers all over the place. Though despite the grisly scene… a tall, suited man sat on a picnic blanket with a bottle of wine, a basket, and some glass right by the body, as though expecting a guest. This can't be the guest--the dead body is filthy and…. oh. A gun.

It was an averted robbery. Though the victim is a little too nonchalant for being held up and successfully defending himself. The lost soul can be seen seated across the tall man as he is offered a glass of wine.

"Now, you see, in my world, what happened to you would be grounds for reincarnation. None of that turning into a worm or a fish in the next life due to your karma or whatnot. The Gods do not determine your fate--you alone would. So as it is your fate to decide to resort to robbery and attempted murder, it is mine to avert it and defend myself."

"YOU ATE MY FACE!!" the robber's spirit yelled back.

"…Well, I wanted to know how you tasted. Bland, I must say. You're dead already, it's not like you'd needed your face anyway," the tall man says as he wipes his mouth of blood with a napkin.

Taking note of how he steps back slightly, Dionysus makes a concerted effort to maintain that distance, speaking to him from where he stands - it's rare that he gets such a response, though that comes hand in hand with the fact that he doesn't often interact with many outside his pantheon like this. What better time to change that? His gaze flicks down as he notices the wagging of his tail, those ears perked up to attention and he can't help the smirk that creeps onto his features. An easy read, this one.

-- ❝I hope you've not heard anything TOO wild.❞ Dionysus jokes, that smirk breaking into an outright grin, as though he knows all too well that there's little to tell that isn't wild. Though he'd almost been distracted, the question brings him back to why he's here, that he has plans to put into motion. Focus, Dionysus. -- ❝He knows all too well I'd be quite displeased if he ruined my little surprise.❞ He remarks, a motion of his hand conjuring a decorated parchment that he offers out, leaning forward ever so slightly. While the writing is ancient Greek, welcoming Anubis to join in a grand soiree should he wish to attend, the borders are decorated well enough to get some of the meaning across. Wine glasses wrapped in ivy leaves, alongside dancers in fine robes painted as though they're red-figures on a vase. -- ❝I'm holding a party, one for all Deities to attend upon Olympus. Zeus himself has approved it-❞ Once Dionysus had presented his argument that it would be a grand show of Xenia to host such an event, perhaps forge new alliances too, there was no chance the King of Gods would turn it down. ❝And I am in charge of the festivities, so of course there'll be endless wine, good food and… entertainment, in whatever form that may take for others.❞
