i like that xiv brings up injustice in its storyline and that the heroes of the story don’t always really understand what it’s like for the people who experience it yes......like aymeric with all his good will and good heart immediately pissed off Hraesvelgr for not acknowledging the fact that just because he wasn’t waging a war over it, he was def still angry and still feels the same exact grief and distrust  for mankind as Nidhogg. Minfillia failed to believe the ala mhigan refugees when they came to the scions begging for aid when the brass blades turned on them, and Lyse, despite coming from an ala mhigan family, completely fails to understand why people under imperial rule choose to suffer and bide their time in silence rather than get dragged away and killed, and what it means for her to ask these people who’ve slowly lost pretty much everything during the occupation to fight her war and shit. That’s why Raubahn has so much more influence over the people cus he experienced it himself and has a real understanding of why ala mhigans do what they do and shows real empathy for it vs. just saying like “don’t fight violence is bad :(”.............................me like story
