Meeting your heroes is always awkward [lordofthegoldenflower]
There were many things in Cael’s life that he hadn’t expected. The whole mutant thing was one, then there was the time travel thing, and to top it all off was having to try and blend into a world that wasn’t his own. To help aid this process he’d gotten a job at the local Starbucks with the help of Marcie who put in a good word. His English had already drastically improved but his accent was still thick as molasses and it often took him a minute to process but improvement was improvement.
It seemed the universe wanted to throw him yet another unexpected curveball this shift in particular. There was buzz about the small shop that a wealthy albiet a bit eccentric man had decided to drop by so everyone needed to try and not muck things up for once. Of course he was the one that drew the short straw right at the end of his shift and had to take the man’s order to him.
“Is-iston i nîf lîn,” he said dropping the man’s coffee in wide eyed shock. Shit shit shit. His brain completely blanked as he stood there coffee starting to soak through his shoes and the entire shop staring at him weirdly. It was the confused muttering that snapped him back to reality and had him frantically cleaning up the mess. “I.. uh.. Goheno nin.. this.. I.. uh.. sorry, so, sorry. ”
Glorfindel. THE Glorfindel was here. In this shop. In the flesh. In the modern day. Was he hallucinating? Someone who just was the spitting image? Eru he hoped he hadn't fucked this up that bad but by the Valar this wasn’t exactly a common occurrence.
