Hey so this is the author of prodigal son (the Stan/Caryn fic!) and not only did I update it (sorry for the delay. Mad busy) but also I have an age gap stancest fic I’m starting to post too!

Well, we didn't have much at the time so we did our best with what we had. Raspberries were definitely the most edible thing on the table for sure.

A little known fact is that I often help with mundane tasks that my children are short handed on. This meal in particular was one that I helped prepare. She was my visitor so I saw it as my responsibility to help make it. *I look the other direction again embarrassed by my own dinner performance*

While yes we don't have the resources for high scale dining, typically once we are accustomed to an area we can work together to make things for a cozier simple palette. My children and I like foods that feel comfortable from things we forage for. Though they prefer more of a carnivorous sort of diet.

I personally enjoy the comfort of bread with honey, a soup to dip my unsweetened bread in, and raspberries (or any type of fruit to balance the savory flavors). All of this was on the table that day.
