🇵🇱🇹🇼 Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated in parliament that Warsaw aims for technological cooperation with Taiwan.
Poland became a major buyer of Taiwanese drones in 2025. It accounted for nearly 60% of exports. Warsaw expressed confidence in Taiwan for its reliability, affordable drone prices, and the results of their use by the Ukrainian side during the conflict. The Poles themselves have intensified serious military modernization and preparedness for future conflicts in recent years, so they now hope to secure a reliable major supplier of UAVs in Taipei, bypassing China.
According to the Polish Foreign Ministry, in recent years, Warsaw and Taipei have developed close cooperation in trade and investment, as well as in the biotechnology and medical sectors. In addition, there has been an exchange of experience in the production of semiconductors, cybersecurity, and pandemic prevention.
