Howard Syndrome
Howard Syndrome= the ways and workings only found at the prestigious holder of ultimate black experience and our Mecca; Howard University. Ok so, 2nd day of my Criminal Justice sociology class at Howard University. My teacher asked the class what the criminal justice system means to them. I told her it's a tool to legally express racial bias on minority groups and imprison huge portions of the black community on nonviolent crimes. She responded by saying that it's media that shapes this view for us and that BLM doesn't give us a full picture. She went on to list white people who were killed by police. She then gave us and assignment to bring in 2 articles on injustices white people have faced due to the criminal justice system... A black teacher, at an HBCU, to an all black classroom. I black people are being killed, locked up more, have longer and harsher sentencing. They receive little to no media coverage. Whites are killed to but, the white collar crimes carried out by rich white folk cost society billions more every year than "non-violent" or "street" crimes from the last decade combined. Needless to say I'm on the market for a new SOC class....
