The other day I was thinking about a totally irrelevant thought, all these companies are bent on recycling and a few other environmentally friendly things. Yet mail order and delivery services are at a all time high,so you can pretty much order anything online and it comes in a big box. After a while those boxes add up and then get thrown in to trash or recycling bin. I’m just saying that my time as a kid in the 70/80’s we used so much stuff but it had other purposes we “recycled” everything! From coffee cans to cars. We didn’t have the massive amount of plastic stuff we do now. And contrary to belief we had not only paper bags but, my grand mother had cloth bags she took to the store. It had nothing to do with being environmentally friendly it’s was just as she said “She got plenty of bags and does not need more.” She was also very particular (guess maybe that’s where I got my OCD from 😜) she liked things her way. The other thing too I remember well was glass pop bottles, you drank them and then returned them for a couple bucks when all was said and done. I’m sorry to say but my and pre my generation “recycled” more then the “ millennials” and “Gen-x” people did, we picked trash up when we say it and we actually respected people. I’m not sure what happened to the country or people in general but something happened and we are no longer a shared Society we are a selfish society. #foodforthought #justthinking #makesyouwonder #howdidwesurvive #failedsociety #goodolddays #time #whatdidwedo #makesyouwonder https://www.instagram.com/p/B2n4YfapOjB/?igshid=1aw8ig9fty7gy
