i dunno, i didn’t get the feeling the society shown was any kind of mirror on our society or had that kind of message. maybe legosi and haru’s romance in particular has a message, but i felt like the society at large was more an exploration of that concept.

i got the feeling that, while currently carnivores eat meat replacements, that previously wasn’t the case and the balance that’s there is a tentative and necessary one.
