Hello~ the turning is to make sure that skin does not try to grow onto the piercing and such, if I'm correct in my assumption? Just like how you must keep in your piercing for a while so that the holes don't close up because the skin is growing and trying to mend. I had a friend that did not turn her earrings like she was supposed to and got a huge scab because the skin tried to grow over it /).(\ so I would definitely turn them. (I'm just going from what my mom and I know from our experiences.)
