You are Bee’s younger brother, and because of this, you are also friends with her friends, especially the Wizard family. You and Howell are childhood friends, you would spend a lot of time together playing together and having sleepovers, and other things kids do.

As you’ve grown up together, you have gained a bit of a crush on Howell, but you didn’t think he would feel that way, let alone like other guys, so you’ve hid your feelings away from him, as you did not want to go through the rejection and heartbreak of it all, which would hurt a lot more considering you two are childhood friends.

The only one who knows about your little crush, is of course your sister, Bee. Bee has tried in the past to get you two together, but unfortunately has gone unnoticed by Howell, and you end up rather flustered by her efforts, so she decided to stop, mostly because she didn’t want to upset you. However, that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t stopped giving you advice, though!

“You know you can’t hide from him forever, Y/n.”

“Yes, I am aware of that, but I can try.”

“Why are you hiding from him, anyways? Why don’t you just tell him how you feel?”

“That’s easy for you to say, Bee, considering you’ve never had a crush like this. We’re best friends, and I just… don’t want to ruin our friendship.”

“But that doesn’t mean you should avoid him, you’re just going to upset him and you know how he gets when he’s upset.”

“Unfortunately, I do..” you sighed a bit. “Are you really sure about this, Bee..?”

“Of course I am! When have I ever been wrong?”

“…I’m not going to answer that.”

“Wha- hey!” You laughed a bit at this, now running away from your sister.

“I’m not sorry!” You called out before running into your room, closing the door behind you.

Later, you were at the grocery store, grabbing a few things for dinners for the week. Despite Bee not having a kitchen in her apartment, you find a way to make dinner for you two. You were making your way to check out, until you heard a familiar voice.

“Y/n!” You flinched a bit as you knew who it was. You slowly turn to face Howell as he made his way over to you. He… didn’t look too happy, but you already knew why. You have been avoiding him, and you knew there wasn’t much of a way out of this one without making a scene.

“Hey Howell..” You said a bit nervously, just ready to get out of there.

“Why have you been avoiding me, Y/n? Every time I see you and call out to you, you always run away from me!”

“I’m sorry, Howell..”

“You should be..! I miss you, Y/n. We haven’t been hanging out as often as we used to. Do you not like me anymore?”

“What? No! That’s not it..!”

“Then what is it?” You were not going to confess in a grocery store of all places, so you told him,

“I’ll tell you what.. meet me down by the beach, and I’ll tell you there. We can even hang out afterwards. How about that?”

“Alright, but you better be there, Y/n!”

“Don’t worry, I will. I promise.”

“Good.” You rubbed the back of your neck and went to pay for your groceries before heading home. That could have gone a bit better, but you were glad he agreed to meet up with you.

Once you got back, you told Bee about what happened, only because she had gotten a bit worried on what took so long.

“So you’re going to finally tell him?” She asked as she helped put things away.

“Yeah, I don’t really have much of a choice now. I don’t want him to hate me or anything.”

“I highly doubt he hates you, Y/n.”

“How do you know that?” Bee just shrugged,

“I dunno, maybe it’s cause you’ve been friends since you were kids?”

“If you’re so sure.. anyways, let’s get some food made.”

“Oh heck yeah, I’m starving!” You laughed a bit and got out the ingredients for a chicken pot pie. Of course you’re not letting Bee anywhere near this, as you have seen her cooking skills, or rather lack there of.

After dinner, you went down to the beach, and waited for Howell to show up. With each passing moment, you got more and more nervous, thinking to yourself: what if he doesn’t actually show up? What if he doesn’t feel the same way? What if-?

“Y/n?” A voice called out to you, snapping you back to reality. You looked over as Howell walked up to you.

“Hey..”

“So, what’s up..? Why did you want to meet up here and not tell me in the grocery store earlier?”

“Yeah, about that..” you rubbed the back of your neck. It was now or never!

“Yeah..?”

“I know we’ve been childhood friends, Howell.. but I, um.. I have feelings for you. I have for a long time, and I’ve been afraid to tell you how I really feel!”

“Y/n..” Howell took a moment to process your words. You were about to say something else, but Howell cut you off,

“You should have said something sooner, you goof!” The teal haired male pulled you into a hug, which caught you off guard.

“Wha..?”

“I feel the same way. I’ve been wanting to tell you for a while, but you’ve been avoiding me!”

“I… I’m sorry, Howell.”

“It’s alright, just.. don’t do that again. You had me worried! I thought I did something wrong!” You chuckled a bit and kissed his cheek.

“You did nothing wrong, Howell. I was just.. being paranoid. I didn’t think you would feel the same way, or at least, didn’t think you liked guys in general.”

“Well, I do love you, Y/n. Now come on, it’s getting kinda cold out.”

“Haha, alright, alright, let’s go.” You smiled faintly and held his hand as the two of you walked back to his house, partially to get out of the cold, and partially to tell his siblings the good news. You also called Bee and told her the news as well, and she was very happy for you!

Well I was going to go for a Halloween themed oneshot but, uh, got busy with other stuff and now Halloween is over, oops-

“Hey, Howell?” You walked over to your boyfriend, hugging him from behind.

“Yes?” The teal haired male looked back at you, a faint smile on his face.

“I wanted to ask you, since you know.. you own the cat cafe.. if I could adopt one of the cats from the cafe?”

“Oh? This is a rather sudden request, where did this come from? Now that I’m complaining, just.. curious, love.”

“Well… I’ve actually been thinking about this for a while now. I’ve even got my place set up for them!” You let him go from the hug, “and of course you’ll also be the cat’s owner as well. Or rather, their dad.”

“Cat dad..? I suppose that’ll work.”

“Well I mean, you kind of already are, considering.. the cat cafe.”

“I suppose that’s fair. Alright, let’s get ready to go then.”

“Sweet! Thanks, babe!” You kissed his cheek and ran off to get ready. Howell got up and went to get ready as well, as both of you were still in your pajamas.

After a little while, the two of you were dressed and ready to go, and were now headed to the cat cafe. You figured one of his siblings would already be there to open up, but if not, you knew Howell had a key to get in, so you weren’t too worried. You two chatted a bit as you walked, mostly about how you came to the decision to adopt one of the cafe cats.

Truth is, you have been wanting to adopt one of them for a while now, but you just didn’t have the things you would need to properly take care of one, so you had to wait until you got everything ready for them. The reason you wanted to adopt one of the cafe cats was the fact that they’ve been there for so long and you figured you could bring one into your own home, show them that there’s more to life than the cafe.

“You do remember the cats get attached, right?”

“Of course I do. I’m.. honestly surprised none of these little cuties haven’t been adopted yet.”

“You and me both, Y/n.”

“I’m sure more of them will get adopted, Howell. They’re very cute cats, and friendly for the most part.”

“True, but a lot of them can be a little shy, especially around new people.”

“Yeah, I suppose you’re right there..” Howell only nodded and walked up to the door of the cafe, before he opened the door.

“Why thank you.” You smiled and walked inside, with Howell following behind you.

“Hello Y/n. Howell.”

“Hello Wesley!” You smiled more and went over to the counter.

“What brings you here today, hmm?” Wesley asked you, leaning against the counter a bit.

“I actually want to adopt one of the cats!”

“You do?”

“I sure do!”

“I see.” Wesley chuckled a bit at this, “very well, then.” You went off to the side, where Howell was sitting on the floor with a few of the cats surrounding him. You sat down beside him and several cats ran on over to you.

“Do you know which one you would like to adopt, Y/n?” Howell asked you as he looked over at you.

“Hmm..” you looked over the small group of cats. “They’re all just so cute and lovable.” You soon noticed an orange cat, with white around the paws, chest and face, with beautiful green eyes.

“Oh my gosh, he’s gorgeous!” You gently picked him up. “Howell, Wesley, this is the one I would like to adopt.”

“Is that so? Alright, let me just get a few papers for you to fill out.”

“Alright, thank you!” You smiled and held the cat in your arms, a smile on your face as you pet his head. You glanced over at Howell and noticed the look on his face. He looked like he was… jealous? Which you thought was rather odd.

“Howell? Are you.. jealous?”

“What? No, that’s ridiculous.”

“You had this look on your face that said otherwise.”

“You’re just seeing things.”

“If you say so, Y/n.” You shrugged and leaned against him as you kept petting the cat in your arms. A few moments passed by and Wesley walked off with a few papers and clipboard in hand.

“Here you are.” He handed the papers to you, but noticed Howell’s face.

“…jealousy is not a good look for you, Howell.”

“I’m not jealous..!”

“Sure you’re not.” Wesley playfully rolled his eyes. You chuckled a bit and started filling out papers as the cat was now resting on your lap, purring softly.

“…You don’t need to be jealous, Howell.” You glanced over at the teal haired male, “I will always love you more than anything. Sure, this cat will get a lot of love, but he won’t replace you.” You leaned over and kissed his cheek. Howell smiled faintly at your words and looked back at you.

“Thank you, Y/n. I appreciate you saying that..”

“Of course! I want you to know that I love you.” You soon finished filling out the paperwork and handed the clipboard back over to Wesley.

“Thank you.” He said as he went to put them in the back.

“Is there anything else I need to fill out..?”

“Nah, all we have to do now, is give him a name and get him to his new home.” Howell told you as he reached over and pet the cat’s head.

“Oh, that’s right..! He needs a name.” You tapped your chin in thought. “How about… (cat name)?”

“(Cat name)..?” Howell thought about it for a few moments, but nodded. “I think it’s a great name for him.”

“Sweet!”

“Alright, here’s a carrier to bring him home in, along with a few other things.” Wesley spoke up as he walked over to you, holding a small bag of items and a carrier.

“Alright! Let’s go, Howell!” You held the carrier as he got (cat name) inside, before you walked out, waving goodbye to Wesley.

“Thank you for going with me today, Howell.”

“You’re welcome, Y/n.” You smiled as you walked home, hand in hand, with your new family member in your other arm.

I sure can! Also I hope this okay, and sorry if it seems rushed or anything

You walked up to the door of the Wizards’ place, holding an overnight bag. You were going to stay the night there, as it’s been a small tradition you’ve been doing ever since before you and Howell started dating. You only stay over once every few weeks, so it’s not like you’re over every day or anything. His siblings don’t mind it, since they enjoy having you over.

“Howell, I’m here!” You called out as you knocked on the door. A few moments of silence passed before the door opened, and there stood your boyfriend with a smile on his face.

“Y/n, you’re finally here! Come in, come in.” He moved out the way to let you inside, which you did, before he closed the door.

“Alright, let me go set my things down and then we’ll go from there.” You went to Howell’s room and set your bag down against the wall, where you usually kept it when you slept over, since it was out of the way where no one would trip over it. You went back into the dining room/kitchen where Howell had been waiting for you.

"So, uh, what's on the agenda for this evening, Howell?" You asked as you sat beside him at the table.

"Well I was thinking of dinner and a movie for this evening?"

"Sure, sounds cozy!" You smiled a bit at the thought, and you like to help teach Howell and his other siblings how to actually cook something instead of Deckard cooking all of the time for them, since he was not always home like he used to be.

"What are we making today?"

"Well, what do you have in mind?" Howell asked you as he turned to face you.

"How about... (favorite food)?"

"Sure, let's go with that." He shrugged and stood up, walking over to get out the ingredients you two would need for the recipe. It was definitely a good thing you knew how to make this without looking at the actual recipe. To be fair, it was something you made for yourself often, or for friends.

Once all of the ingredients were out, you and Howell got to work with making dinner, which was a bit of a mess as Howell was more focused on watching you cook than helping you. You didn't mind it too much, but you did have a few words for him after you finished up with the cooking.

"I know, I'm sorry for not really helping. I just can't help it, you're just too cute/pretty/etc."

"Yeah, yeah, you're lucky I love you." You told him in a playful tone as you booped his nose, before you went to help out with dishes.

"Y/n, you don't have to do that, you're our guest." Wesley told you as he walked into the kitchen to help.

"True, but I did make a bit of a mess of your kitchen. At least let me help clean up?"

"Very well, I suppose there is no stopping you." Wesley chuckled a bit and soon the two of you got the kitchen all clean once more! You two washed up whatever dishes were used, as well as cleaned up the counter, for the next time it was to be used for cooking.

"Come on, Y/n! I've got everything set up for the movie!" You heard Howell call from the other room. You chuckled a bit and went to the living room, where your boyfriend had been waiting for you, with several different movie snacks on the coffee table.

“You ready for a movie, Y/n?”

“Of course I am!” You walked over to him and sat beside him, pulling over one of the blankets from the couch. Howell grabbed the remote from beside him and brought up one of your favorite movies (movie of choice that isn’t a horror movie). You’ve been wanting to watch this movie with him for a while, to show him why this one is a favorite of yours.

About halfway through the movie, you were getting tired. You weren’t sure if it was because you were so comfortable and had a nice meal, but you were getting tired now. You were currently doing your best to stay awake during the movie, but it didn’t last very long.

Little did you know, however, was that Howell had fallen asleep before you. It wasn’t that the movie was boring to him, he was just tired. You mumbled something as you rest your head against Howell before you fell asleep.

“They both fell asleep?” Crispin had found the two of you, fast asleep on the couch.

“They did. And don’t you dare do what I think you’re going to do.”

“What? It’ll be fine, they won’t know.”

“Crispin, no.”

“Crispin, yes.” He walked closer to you two, holding a washable marker in hand, taking off the cap of the marker, he moved closer to your faces.

The next morning, you had woken up, surprisingly without much pain in your neck due to how you were sleeping the night before. You went to the restroom to wash your face and what not, and what you saw in the mirror… made you laugh, but upset at the same time.

“I should have known.” You shook your head before you grabbed a washcloth, washing the marker off of your face. Once you finished up, you went back into the living room.

“Oh, Howell..” you chuckled a bit as you noticed his face had also been drawn on. “He’s not going to like this.” You went over to him and gently nudged him.

“Wake up, you’ve got marker on your face.” No response. You nudged him again, but with more force.

“Wake up, Howell.”

“What is it, Y/n..?” He slowly opened his eyes, looking up at you. “I need my beauty rest, you know this.”

“I am aware, but.. you’ve got marker on your face.”

“What?”

“You heard me.” You took a small mirror you kept with you and opened it up, showing him the marker on his face.

“What the hell?!” He got up, with a look of anger and surprise on his face. “Crispin!” He called out, storming to his brother’s room. You followed after him to stop him from beating up his brother.

“Come on, let’s get that marker off your face.”

“Okay, fine..” you then brought him to the bathroom to wash the marker off his face. Afterwards, you had to prevent him from going after his brother for pranking you two in the first place. Or at least, this went on until you left. After that, you had no idea. But you had fun, so you knew you would be back again sooner than usual.

It wasn't a secret to anybody on the island that you were fit, that you worked out. You've been working hard with coming up with your own routine, and once you found what worked for you, you've been going at it until you were in good shape, but you didn't give up on it, no, you kept going, maybe not as intensely as before, but you still worked out.

Some of the people on the island were kind of jealous of how fit you were, while most others either didn't care or admired you. However, there was one in particular that was both jealous of you, but admired you as well. And that was Howell Wizard. He's tried to approach you on more than one occasion, but he just can't seem to talk to you, which was odd for him. His siblings have definitely noticed this and were now dead set on helping him talk to you.

However, several of these tactics have failed and now he's onto their crazy idea of getting him to talk to you, so he's been kind of avoiding them for a bit until they stopped. Howell had decided to head down to the beach for his usual exercise routine, carrying his boombox like usual. Though, unlike usual, there was someone already there. Howell was a bit thrown off by this, but he was not going to let this distract him from his workout. He shrugged it off and went over to his usual spot, which just happened to be closer to where the other person was doing their own workout, Howell realized.

Wait, she looks familiar... Howell thought as he looked back over at the (h/c) girl. It took him a few moments to realize: oh wait, that's y/n!

You, on the other hand, had not even noticed that he was there, since you were rather focused on your workout, listening to your music as you did whenever you worked out. You were usually out here earlier, but you had kinda overslept and hadn't realized it until the sunlight was shining in your face. Oh well, at least no one else came over to the beach this early in the day. Or at least, that was what you thought, anyways.

Howell was a little unsure whether to turn on his boombox or not, since he did not want to disturb you. Unfortunately for him, as he was setting it down since it was getting a bit heavy for him to just keep holding like that, he accidentally clicked a bit and a loud voice boomed from the speakers, which caught him and yourself off guard. Howell immediately scrambled to turn it off, which he did, but not without alarming you. You turned to face him, turning your music down/off and removing your headphones/earbuds.

"I am so sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you..!" You giggled a bit at this and shook your head.

"Nah, it's alright. I'm uh, usually here earlier in the morning but I overslept! Haha, I'm sure you probably don't care about that," You rubbed the back of your neck as you laughed a bit nervously, "anyways, my name's Y/n, and you are..?"

"Oh, uh, my name's Howell. I run the cat cafe with my siblings."

"I have been down there before! I haven't been able to go in yet since I've been a bit busy, but I've seen the cats from the window and they're so cute!"

"Well, would you maybe.. want to go in and meet the cats..?"

"I would love to! How about after we finish our workout?"

"You... want to workout with me..?"

"Well, sure! I had actually been out here only a few minutes, so I wasn't really finished up yet."

"Oh, alright then." Howell then proceeded to hit the play button on the boombox, and the two of you began your little duo workout, you two occasionally talking a bit and getting to know each other.

You were now walking down to the cat cafe with Howell, the two of you talking and laughing a bit as you walked. He had admitted to you about how he’s been wanting to talk to you since he’s seen you around, and the fact that you’re so fit made him admire you, which made you a bit flustered.

“Here we are.” You looked in front of you to see the cafe that you had passed by several times. Howell opened the door for you and you both walked inside. A few of the cats had looked over as you two had walked in.

“They’re so cute!” You walked away from the door and sat on the floor and several of the cats just came running on over. Howell sat down beside you as you now had cats climbing on you.

“I am sorry about them, they’re not usually like this with new people, but.. then again, they do get attached.”

“Is that so?” You asked as you were petting a ginger cat’s head.

“Yeah, they get attached to people easily, especially those who come in often.”

“Well I suppose I’ll have to come in more often.”

“Wha- you’d do that?”

“Of course! You’re really nice and I like talking to you, and the cats are really sweet.” This brought a faint blush to his face as he rubbed the back of his head.

“I’m really glad you think so, Y/n..!” You giggled a bit at this and nodded.

“I think we’re going to be great friends, Howell.”

“I think so, too.”

You two spent the rest of the afternoon at the cat cafe, just chatting away and playing with the cats until it was time to close for day. You two exchanged phone numbers and had agreed to meet up again the next day for another work out, and to just hang out. You knew this was going to be the start of an interesting, yet great, friendship. And who knows, maybe there would be something more.
