he purrs loud as hell and knows the vibrations are throwing you off your game when you write the same sentence twice
only way you get the upper hand is by ducking down and lightly scratching him in the soft underbelly of his jaw; he forgets what he was doing and just follows your hand as you move it away from your bubble, still scratching his chin
also he thumps his foot like a rabbit
is extremely flustered when you dare to giggle at the expression he pulls the moment you stop giving him that small ounce of attention
"You're gonna rip my finger off," your husband yowled and snatched his claws away from your grasp, giving you a nasty look as if you were intentionally trying to cause him pain.
you're aware of bowser's objections to having his nails trimmed, you could hear his complaining echo throughout the whole castle whenever he was forced into it by kamek; complaints flying out about it being the worst pain he's ever had to endure.
(you asked Junior if it was true, to which he denied and said he never felt anything when he had to get his claws cut. he just told you that his dad was a crybaby when it came to this sort of thing.)
you were happy to let him grow out his claws to his heart's content, if he didn't leave you completely covered in scratches from doing the littlest things. outside of the usual reasons you'd be left that disheveled, he didn't have the best handle on them now that they were so long. he somehow managed to destroy your favorite shirt just from giving you a hug.
he was scheduled for a filing a few days ago. conveniently, he was too busy training some new recruits; then, every day after that, he has somehow been able to evade you. for such a large and easy-to-spot guy, Bowser proved to be hard to pin down.
"sorry honey, it's getting late and i'm ready to hit the sack." it was 7:30 in the evening.
"I- uh- have to run some drills with the kids!" they were out of the castle that day.
"whining isn't going to make me go quicker," so, you took on the burden of filing down his claws.
you managed to catch him off guard when he snuck out of bed for a midnight snack. clad in just your pj's and whatever slippers were available, you cornered him, a metal nail filer gripped tightly in your hand.
the 'fight', if you could even call it that, might've alarmed a few guards with the pots and pans you brought down with you as you pinned down the stubborn turtle. it took some convincing that there was no real threat and that you were doing it for his own good; their king ordering them to help him from the floor didn't help your case.
where you got the nerve to defy him, he'll never know.
It's silent after that. the only sounds filling the room are dramatic hissing and the back-and-forth sawing of the filer.
If he wasn't mourning the loss of his long minion shredders, Bowser would've been over the moon at the domestic gesture. you, tending to his nails to ensure they were in perfect shape, and him getting to soak in your warmth as you make yourself comfortable in his lap.
why did he even have to cut his nails down anyway? it's not like he has to. they're perfectly fine and just add to his cool, jagged persona. So unfa-
"I'd really appreciate it if you didn't breath on my neck so much."
your only answer is an even heavier puff of warm air that's closer and had more power behind it, "it's not like they were buggin' anybody."
"i have a giant scratch on my back that says otherwise." his arm that you weren't holding wraps around your middle almost apologetically.
he grumbles behind you as you softly blow at the newly shortened, still sharp claw, "see, doesn't that look better?"
briefly examining the hand you raised up to his face, he chuffs and looks off to the side stubbornly, not wanting to give you the satisfaction of him admitting that he liked them way better than before.
"if you really loved me, you woulda left them the way they were." he barely argues.
rolling your eyes, you peel yourself out of his hold, "it's not exactly ideal to be a living pincushion, y'know."
he remains silent, refusing to even make eye contact.
"want me to make you a sandwich?" you softly bargained, holding his rough cheeks in your hands and running your thumbs over his scales in a way you know he likes.
there's a pause, then he huffs, "with extra spicy mustard and chili flakes sprinkled on top?"
"anything for you, my king," you land a wet kiss between his bushy brows with an obnoxiously cute 'mwah!' and began moving around the kitchen in search of said ingredients.
with your back turned to him, the flustered koopa takes a peek down at his newly primped claws, flipping his hands over to fully admire your work.
a jagged, lovesick grin bumpily spreads out on his muzzle; he could get used to this.
If there was one thing Bowser enjoyed doing the most in the entire world, it was being a ruler.
It filled him with pride whenever he'd give his kingdom a once over, marveling at how much it's grown and developed. His home has never looked better, in his humble opinion.
From the blindingly bright jewels that glitter so prettily in his treasure room from numerous raids to the unwavering loyalty of his many citizens, he was a force to be reckoned with.
there was a weight of respect that came with being the King of the Koopas.
The only thing better than that? Being married to you.
The day he was officially able to call you his was one of the proudest days of his life. After ruling alone for (not that) many years, he finally had an equal to sit next to him and enjoy the spoils of his thriving kingdom.
Someone to help him shoulder any burden that might fall on him to fix. Someone to hold him when he's able to relax after a grueling day of ordering his minions around.
Someone who gets to see him.
he also wasn't opposed to the handsome statues of him that would pop up in various places around the kingdom.
what he didn't like doing, was sitting through meeting after meeting every few weeks with his minions about what they did/didn't do in their assigned jobs around the growing kingdom.
no matter how many times he'd moan and groan about it being 'a complete waste of time' and 'something a super cool king should NOT be doing', he'd always be dragged out by the horns by either you or on the very rare chance, Kamek.
you'll admit, it's not the most fun way you could be spending the afternoon, but it's a necessity to keep the kingdom in order.
he'd try to postpone or get out of it, none of which worked because he wasn't as sneaky as he'd like to think he is.
he once tried to skip it because he claimed he was terribly wounded earlier that day and needed to recover.
(it was a papercut)
Today's focus was mainly touching on any reports or disturbances the minions had from the patrols. Bowser knew that there wasn't anything major that needed his attention, but it was protocol in the kingdom to discuss any and everything that they'd seen.
At least, that's what Kamek said.
He could already feel the headache coming as he begrudgingly got ready, perched on his side of the bed.
"Why can't one of the koopas step in for me? not like anyone'll notice the difference." He tried to bargain, buckling on his signature spiked wristbands.
"I doubt it, you're the only one of your...stature." a grumble is your only answer.
you barely paid any mind to your spikey husband's whiny ramblings, too busy primping yourself for the meeting. you offer him a pensive 'hmm.' and turn to him.
"How do I look?" You ask, giving him a small twirl to take you in, as the fabrics you've dressed yourself in move with you.
"Ehh.." He shakes his hand from side to side.
"Jerk!" You gasp and jump at him, earning a belly laugh as he barely tries to fight off your punches to his firm side, even though they don't hurt him in the slightest. "Easy there, sweetheart, only joking." He grabs your hips carefully and straddles you over his lap.
"You're absolutely stunning, no matter what you wear."
even after all that time together, you can still feel your face heat up at his compliment.
wrapping your arms around his neck, you softly kiss his snout and smile at him lovingly, "Keep talking."
he chuckles deeply and lets out a puff of hot air through his nose.
"you're absolutely alluring. I find myself lucky to be in your presence."
a giggle bubbles in your throat as you bury your face in his scaly neck.
"y'know.." his claws run up and down your back slowly, "we don't have to start on time."
"Oh?" you lean back and raise an eyebrow at him.
"S'not like the throne room's goin' anywhere." you can practically feel him undressing you in his mind as his fiery eyes look you up and down.
you bring your hands up to his rough face and bring him closer, "Someone's feeling needy."
"when it comes to you? always."
you chucked at his attempts and pull away.
"Nice try." you tease, relishing in the dumbfounded look that materializes on the Koopa king's face, and give his cheek a pinch, "C'mon, it's about to start."
your only answer is a deep, bellowing growl as you hop out of his grip.

As expected, he was bored to pieces,
Guard after Guard, General after General, he absentmindedly nods in acknowledgment as they drone on about their shifts. Whenever he felt they fell short of their jobs, he'd 'loudly encourage' them to do better.
("Be nice," you whispered at him harshly after he reprimanded a shy guy for delaying an expected shipment from the kongs.
"Well, I would be if I had more competent men," he growled back.
"Watch it.")
He's particularly ticked after learning about a recent run-in with a certain denim-wearing tumbler.
"What do you mean he 'outran' you?" He tensely questioned a high-ranking Koopa who patrolled the outskirts of dark lands, wings nervously twitching behind him.
"H-he, uh, managed to slip into a pipe at the last second, your majesty."
from where you were sitting, you could see him start to sweat bullets as your husband balls up his fist tightly, the fire deep within him close to erupting out of his sharp-toothed mouth.
As he prepares to fire off in a harsh tangent, you quickly jump from your seat and address the general.
"I'm sure you've tried your best, I know slippery he can be," not really, you've probably met him a few times, "just be on the lookout next time and keep up the good work."
The koopa rings his hands out as he shakily glances over at Bowser, who seethes quietly from his seat and looks like he's two seconds away from frying him alive. The general looks back at you gratefully and nods, spouting how he'll be faster next time and won't let you down; he was also thanking you a hundred times over for saving him from scorching demise.
As he moves back to his place in the room, another general, a goomba, steps forward and begins his report.
The giant Koopa next to you lets out an annoyed groan, earning his righthand's attention and a light smack to the arm from you. he sinks lower into his throne and taps his nails on the headrest, counting down the seconds until he's relieved from duty.
Sensing his king's rapidly decreasing mood, Kamek clears his throat and hurriedly addresses the crowd.
"His Royal Highness has graciously allowed time for a fifteen-minute break and not a minute longer. Return here on time or else." The old Magikoopa threatens.
A resounding breath of relief fills the throne room as the varying generals and lackeys all walk out, occasionally bumping into each other to leave as quickly as possible.
Kamek quickly dismisses himself in a cloud of pink and leaves you two alone.
whipping your head around, you lightly glare at your royal pain in the ass.
"Y'know, you could pretend to be interested in what they're saying."
all you get is a "feh." and a backhanded wave as he plops his chin into his clawed hand, holding himself up on the armrest closest to you.
an exasperated sigh escapes your lips. at this rate, he'll burn the place to the ground from boredom and annoyance; or at the very least, turn a few unsuspecting koopas into skeletons.
bribery should work, you think as you lean closer to his aggravated form.
"I'll let you do that thing you really like," you whispered huskily, running a hand up his scaly arm.
almost comically, he shoots up straight on his throne and excitedly looks over at you, "Really?"
"If you make it without yelling at anybody else," you add on.
watching the gears turn in his head, a smug look sweeps across his face, "how about a sample?"
he chuckles at the roll of your eyes but is quickly rendered silent as you pull him in by his collar, your lips connecting with his own.
his eyes slide shut as he feels you move your hands from to hold onto his broad shoulders.
the kiss, starting sweet and welcoming, is quick to turn passionate and heavy as you both chase one another, refusing to part for air.
you briefly pull away, only to hop from your throne to his and straddle his lap, similar to the position you were in a few hours ago.
he chases after your lips and pulls you in, sealing your lips together as he claws at your top, the other slowly climbing up your thigh.
the air around you is steadily growing hot, the previous silence being filled with moans and groans of a different nature from both of you.
bowser pulls a breathy, loud moan out of you as he grinds into you in a way that has you seeing stars. a growl rumbles deep in his chest as you run your nails along his fiery, red hair by his neck.
as quickly as it started, it ended when you pulled away, having already heard the echoing marching from the incoming troops.
bowser narrows his ruby-red eyes at you as his chest heaves, "So that's how you wanna play it?"
his only answer is a satisfied smirk as you fix yourself in your seat as if you didn't just pull him into a soul-searing makeout session.
the doors are swung open as guards of different sizes pile into the room once again, random conversations filling the once-quiet atmosphere.
You greet the returning group with a smile, watching as they take their seats and mentally prepare to hear the rest of the reports.
Kamek appears right next to the larger koopa in the same cloud he left in and looked expectingly at his king, "Shall we continue?"
You can practically feel his piercing gaze on the side of your face before hearing him whisper to his advisor.

Bowser Romantic Headcanons.
Meeting:
You know how dragons like to make hoards of anything that’s shiny, and glimmering, and just want it all to themselves?
That’s the closest thing that Bowser felt after he met you.
Granted, it was pure accident that you met because he accidentally kidnapped you instead. Well, HIS minions made the mistake of kidnapping you.
You were Peach’s Royal Attendant. You were taking care of some of Peach’s documents while she was in a meeting when it happened.
“You ain’t Peach!!” Bowser Growled at you with his claw dangerously close to your face. You gulped nervously at the predicament you were forced into. “N-No Sir, I’m not. I’m just her attendant. Please don’t hurt me”.
He huffs in frustration. He’ll be sure to punish the idiotic minions that make this mistake. But what to do with you? “...You’re not totally useless. I can make this work.” “Huh?”
He was going to use you as a hostage to make Peach agree to marry him. She cares way too much for her people to leave you in danger. It’s the perfect plan!
So that’s how you were trapped in a cage, waiting currently for someone to rescue you as Bowser planned a letter to threaten the Peach with for your Safety.
Welp. With nothing better else to do, you might as well try to make conversation if you’re going to be here for a while.
“So….Got any hobbies?”
Bowser raises an eyebrow at you. “What?”
Safe to say, Bowser was very annoyed at your attempts to make small talk. But he entertained the idea since he was running blank on what to write to the Princess.
Maybe if he decided to talk to you a bit, You’ll eventually stop talking altogether.
And maybe fix this writer’s block.
Neither happens.
You were a chatterbox, and he seemed to lose interest in the letter altogether.
You were genuinely curious about him since you’d only heard about him From Peach.
He was Scary, but you couldn’t help but look at him in interest.
And he….didn’t mind. Actually, the way you looked at him in curiosity when he talked made him a little Bashful. Not many ask a lot about him
No one appreciates his awesomeness in all its glory, so you asking about him kinda…made him want to talk to you too.
Peach is usually silent when he tries to talk to her, so it's nice to talk to someone for a change.
Both of you didn’t realize how late it was until Kamek came to remind him that Dinner was ready.
It was shocking to him he talked to you so much without getting bored and shocked him even more that he didn’t want the conversation to end.
That lasted for about 3 days before Mario and Luigi came to the rescue.
And Of Course, he got his ass handed to him.
Mario grabs your hand as he walks away from the barely conscious Bowser. “Come on-a (Y/N). The Princess was-a so worried about you.” You followed the bros out the front door of his castle, but you turn quickly to look at Bowser. “Bye, Bowser! See you Later!” Bowser lays there as the three of you left, contemplating was you just said. ‘’Later’?...later…..Later.”
There was definitely going to be a Later.
Pre-Relationship:
He starts ‘kidnapping’ more frequently. To the Point where Both his minions and Peach notice it.
“Sire, Why are we taking this Human instead of the Princess? What could the servant provide that we can’t just get from the Princess immediately?” Bowser Glares at the Koopa, and stomps towards them, making the Koopa jump in fear. “Are you questioning me!? I know what I’m doing! We need that servant because she’s more likely to tell us things without a fight! I’m going to use it against this Kingdom when the time is Right!” Translation: I miss this human a lot but couldn’t think of a reasonable way of seeing them again so I kidnap them so they’ll have no choice but to spend time with me, but I won’t admit that to anybody.
Princess Peach runs up to you to inspect your face as Mario and Luigi save you again. “Thank Goodness you're alright! Did that Monster hurt you? I’m so sorry you got dragged into this.” “Princess, I'm Fine, Really. Don’t worry about it. Mario and Luigi saved me so all is good with the world.” Translation: Bowser has no idea how to ask to hang out so I gotta keep up this facade until either I ask him personally to hang out. I had a fun time with him but I don’t want you to freak out at this.
He has obvious favoritism for you.
It’s laughable to even call you a prisoner because you don’t even sit in the cage when he kidnaps you.
He orders his minions to prepare a room for you.
He even made sure they got delicious food sent to your room when supper was ready.
You don’t attempt to run since you enjoy his company and he enjoys yours.
Kamek and the rest of his minions as You and Bowser talk about certain topics walking down the Royal Hallway. Bowser notices this and glares at them. “Is there something you need to say?” He rhetorically asks in a dark tone.” They stop looking and stand guard quickly. Bowser's face softens, looking down back at you. “As you were saying?”
He is also a little touchy with you. He usually has his hand on your back when you talk. Also has you sat on his forearm when he wants you to be closer.
He’s a little touch-starved. He forgets that he has to act like he’s holding you prisoner.
Mario and Luigi came to ‘rescue’ you for the 8th time. It was different today. They defeated his defenses but when they came to the throne room, he wasn’t ready for them to come. He was asleep. He was on his some curled up in a sleeping position and there you were, next to his face as he held you down with his arm, pulling you close to him.
The Mario Bros stare at yall in shock. You shush them when you spot them and waved them over quietly. They come and you carefully wiggle out of Bowser’s Grasp. “Let’s go.” You whisper quietly. They nod and head out the front. You take a piece of paper and leave a note. I’ll be coming over next week, You don’t have to pick me up anymore. - (Y/N).
You tuck the note under his hand, and placed a soft kiss on his cheek, leaving before he woke up. He smiles in his sleep.
Post-Relationship
Congratulations! You have the Koopa King’s Heart in your Hands now.
Achievement unlocked: Bowser will now kill for you.
But yeah, if you thought he was sweet before. Get ready for that time 3.
He just wants to make you happy and bathe you in riches.
Are you hungry? He gets the minions to make a 5-star gourmet dish just to your liking.
Thirsty? He will bring you a gold chalice embedded with shining jewels.
Is it too hot? Minions! Fan my lover and get them the coldest water we got!
Enemy needs to be wiped out? Say the word and he will bring them to your knees begging for mercy.
Calls you Starlight and Firefly because of how you brighten the room. Along with nicknames like Honey, and Sweetheart.
Also, be prepared for him to be right under you or more like you very close to him
He will pick you up in his hands just because. No reason. He just wants to hold you and keep you close.
He is very gentle when he has you in his hand. It makes you feel safe when he wraps his fingers around you lovingly. Claws never tearing your clothes or breaking the skin. You are treated as fragile as precious glass art.
He still has this urge to just pinch your cheeks and squeeze you a bit. You’re just too cute for your own. (Even when you’re doing absolutely nothing.)
Have you sitting on his lap when he’s sitting on his throne until yours is done being built.
Please kiss is on his snoot. He will melt at the affection with hearts in his eyes.
Please kiss him more. He craves it. He will wag his tail when you do.
You know how possessive and protective Dragons get with their treasure. Be prepared for that.
He will be so stubborn when you have to go to the Peach’s castle and try to get you to stay longer.
Do you have to go so soon? It’s early. Why don’t you stay another hour…or 2. Or you can’t wait till tomorrow? Or next week? Next Month? Next Year?
He has to fight this instinct to just grab you and keep him under him so that he can keep you all to himself.
…He only controls it 3 times out of 10.
Literally has you cuddled up under him in your shared bedroom because he doesn’t even want to share you with the Princess. You were a little annoyed.
He gives you his best puppy dog eyes to make you less angry. You can’t stay mad at that face.
Fine, But You’re going in the next hour.
He lets out a content purr as you settled into him.
He literally loves you so much. He hopes you stay forever.
I know you’ve been wanting to write a part 2 for the bowser wedding, and I had an idea! Definitely option 1, but perhaps the falling in love with Bowser happens while you’re staying in the dark lands castle and planning the wedding. He takes you on tours, plays the piano for you, and you get to see how he interacts with his subjects when he’s not fighting. Maybe peach tries to get in contact with you about a plan for you to escape at the wedding (similar to how she did) but you start to feel guilty about betraying him because you’re falling in love! So at the wedding when you say yes, you surprise both Bowser and Peach! Just an idea- love your work!
i was planning on doing something similar to this, but i rlly love the idea of reader seeing how bowser actually is, breaking this idea they've had in their head of him being some heartless dictator guy.

Some fluffy headcanons for Bowser inspired by his character model in the new Super Mario movie. (Because I paid a bit too much attention to him when I first watched it).

A/N: I may have one group project and one coursework due this week, alongside a seminar on Monday and an exam on Tuesday - buuuut my love for Bowser prevails.

Bowser has multiple small scars all over his body - from his legs to his arms - all from his previous battles and any other accidents he's been in. Notably, there are a couple of small marks near the right edge of his jaw. They're mostly unnoticeable, however there is a pale shine when they catch the light, especially firelight and any hot glow emanating from the falling streams of lava.
Bowser had forgotten about them. To him, they are just one of the many cuts and bruises he's gained from fighting. They're just insignificant parts of his body. Not only that, he wouldn't see them often unless he was to look into a reflective surface, which realistically he wouldn't do that commonly unless he needs to boost his confidence and pep talk himself.
But, once you notice, you won't forget.
He wouldn't know how to react when you kiss him there.
At first, he wouldn't assume much of it. A kiss is a kiss and he will take anything he can get from you with how touch-starved he is. From your gentle caresses to your undivided attention. He'd revel in the way you tilt and angel his face, and will get all flustered and smitten and every other love related word.
However, even through his heart-eyes, he would take note of you kissing that one spot if you chose to make it a habit. It would take a while, but he would pick up on it and he'd eventually ask why you choose to kiss that spot every time, only to be surprised when he finds out it's all because he has scars there.
He would completely melt if you were to kiss any other scar on his body, especially any on his arms where he can see you.
Tough-guy who? Not Bowser. Not when he's with you.
And there would be no poker-face. He's bad enough at masking his emotions as is. If you were to look up at his face, you would see him grinning like a lovestruck teenager.
Oh, and speaking of shiny and reflective things: his scales reflect light. A lot.
The ombre of green scales on his shoulders have an almost iridescent sheen to them. They reflect the environment very well, glowing golden in the firelight and purple in the night sky. Some of the scales are glossier than others, and there's a pattern of mismatched reflectiveness.
And sometimes the scales look like scattered stars around his body.
Because of their position, it would be another aspect of himself Bowser doesn't really pay attention to. Not only are they just like any other scales to him, and he has plenty of those, but he wouldn't pay much attention to the appearance of his shoulders and neck. I doubt it would even be something his eyes flicker to when looking at himself in the mirror.
Which is why you mentioning them would throw him completely off course.
His eyes would be wide, and he'd do his best to look at the scales on his shoulders, angling his head to see what you see. He wouldn't understand why you find them so interesting, and would be too stunned to fully take in your explanations if you chose to compliment him.
You find his scales fascinating? But they're just scales... And you say they shine like stars? But diamonds can do the same thing...
He wouldn't understand at first, until he realises you like them because they're beautiful in your eyes and they're a part of him.
And then cue the tail wagging, because he would be the giddiest Koopa in his entire kingdom.
And another thing - if him lacking a pokerface wasn't obvious enough - his eyes glow with his emotions. Though it's mainly visible with ones of wrath and anger, they do glow. And there are stages to it. They go from his normal crimson coloured eyes and carefully climb up levels of brightness. They become a copper orange and increase in saturation to mimic the tones of molten rock.
It's almost like he takes the phrase 'seeing red' literally.
It's that glow that lets you know whether your attempts to calm him down work. If you coo at him, gently stroking and patting his arms to place him back in reality, you'd know of its effectiveness almost immediately. If it works, that dangerous glow would sizzle out, and he'd look at you with the most endearing eyes, completely forgetting what made him so angry.
There'd still be smoke puffing out of his nose, but the absence of the glow would tell you that he sees you, and that he's in control of himself.
If your attempts to calm him down don't work, you'd know to give him some space and wait patiently for him to calm himself down. He would, eventually, and he'd come straight to you.
It's also what lets you know if something you said upset him. Not like he'd ever direct his anger at you, though. It's always good to know.

We all know that Bowser is a big softie to the people he cares about, and he doesn't always want it to show, but when he hears that you're sick, he comes to check on you as often as he can.
He makes sure that you have everything you need. He assigns practically an entire army of Koopa to take care of you when he can't be there. Blankets, pillows, food, water, medicine - whatever you need, they bring it.
However, what you really want is Bowser to be there with you. And a lot of the time, he is. Often you wake up to him sitting by your bedside either quietly taking care of administrative business or snoozing himself.
If he's feeling particularly soft, he will feed you soup. As in, he holds the spoon and brings it to your mouth. It warms your heart to see how carefully and skillfully he holds the tiny spoon in his claws.
If he's feeling both particularly soft and sleepy, he will pick you up and lay you down on top of him. You can settle on his stomach and rest your head on his chest. Bowser is nice and toasty warm, plus he puts his hand over you and it almost covers you entirely. You're nice and cozy and you fall asleep to his steady breathing and heartbeat.

helloo ! i’ve been wanting to write a part two to wedding bells and after getting asks about continuing it, i wanted to see how people want this scenario to play out bc tbh, i have no idea
option 1 would be reader actually going through with the wedding (minus the sacrifices bc reader manages to convince bowser otherwise) and falls for bowser over the course of their marriage w/ a sort of beauty and the beast feel

"Spit it out already!" his temper simmers just as quickly as it spiked when he receives a smack to the shoulder, not really hurting him, but it sends the message.
"Nevermind!" The magikoopa considers whatever it was a lost cause and poofs himself out of the room with a cloud of pink smoke. "You didn't have to yell at him. Whatever I was talking about isn't that interesting."
A clawed finger finds its way under your chin and carefully turns your head up towards him, connecting his intense gaze with your own. "As if. Now, you were saying?"
