Honestly, they argue a lot, but very rarely does it come to a full blown ‘fok off m8 I’m not budging on this’ sort of deal (that would be Coeur).

Before Coeur they argued a lot about Noxus’ military. I’m talking nightly debates and a lot of headaches which steadily got worse as Dar went up the ranks and as Noxus shifted them from the Freljord to Ionia.

Topics ranged from Boram’s brusque treatment of his enemies and his own men to the scope of what constitutes as acceptable when it came to proportional might. Riven, as you can tell, disagreed heavily with High Command and in fact was sent to the Freljord for speaking out of turn.

Now the thing is, Dar doesn’t exactly agree with Boram and the rest of High Command either, but because he’s so obedient he can’t exactly say no. He’s duty-bound to fulfill the role that they gave him.

Riven knows that too, but it’s not like she can talk treason with just anyone. So she mostly vents, and he takes the flame and the salt with as much grace as he can possibly muster.

You gotta feel sorry for Dar because Riven does have a point and he does agree with her, but he can’t exactly put it into practice because he’s got a duty to the city-state.
