Children aged 0–14 years living in areas with a high risk of child social exclusion have higher rates of both potentially preventable hospitalizations and avoidable deaths (Mohanty 13).

This is a word cloud that displays the results of a survey question asking about places or settings where exclusive behaviors are prominent. The most prominent answer being school, then work.
The boy in this picture has a black eye and is holding up his hand symbolizing to “stop” child abuse. Childhood abuse is one of the main causes of teen pregnancy. Childhood abuse can alter one’s perceptions about sexual behavior and judgement of wanting an intimate relationship which could lead to multiple sexual partners, meaning a higher risk of teen pregnancy. This abuse can also cause teens to engage in prostitution, which also leads to a higher chance of teen pregnancy. This remains a social issue, because how children were raised can effect their risk of becoming pregnant in their teenage years. Childhood abuse can cause teen pregnancies rates to increase, therefore preventing childhood abuse could decrease the rates of teen pregnancy.
