i wanna say how LAUGHABLE it is that self titled libs cannot abstain from a badly made and written wizard videogame and how their so-called "allyship" crumbles at the first sign of criticism. theyd rather chat among outright bigots than listen to a crumb of evidence suggesting they should boycott HP. i present exhibits A and B

Thank you so much for your thoughtful, intelligent response to that utter homophobic tripe currently circulating around the fandom. It's so appreciated to have someone with your background and conviction sticking up for us. As a Christian myself, I really couldn't have said it any better. Honestly, I know a lot of people saw it as a joke, but to me, it was super upsetting and triggering (from personal issues with family and friends), and it was so nice to have you stand up for me. People like you, and me, are exactly why I have decided to stand up for us against this. This post hurt me as well, because I am Christian and I also love the drarry squad and hp fandom and when someone tries to use my religion against me and others like me it really hurts. Even when I know that the people that would use God’s Word for such things are wrong. The first comment on that post was borne more from anger than intelligence because of this. But after I had time to cool down, I realized how important it was to articulate why I was angry, and show why this other person is wrong. Because other Christians like me, who enjoy one or more of the things being attacked in that post, might not have my background and therefore won’t be able to reassure themselves as well as I am able to. which is also why I don’t particularly care whether warriorsforinnocence replies to any of the defenses I have made or will make. Thank you for letting me know that I have helped you with this, it means a lot to me.

So I went into the Harry potter hate tag... Dear all you people, It's not fair to just throw everyone into the same group by saying 'Harry potter fans'. I am aware that some are really mean and crazy, but the majority are NOT. And when you reply rudely to someone that says something like 'if you don't like HP, get off tumblr lol' that makes you just as bad as the person who posted that. And when you call someone uncreative for replying with a gif, that's even worse. Not every HP fan hates Twilight. Yes, we make fun of it a lot but you know what? People make fun of HP all the time too. So please shut the fuck up.
