It was during that project that your friendship grew, and it stayed growing throughout that year - until you realised he had taken the Dark Mark.
It wasn't until after Voldemort had been vanquished that your relationship started back up again. Draco wanted to make amends, but the only person he knew who could reach the other students was you. So once again, he needed your help.

Flying races with your dragons were actually what truly bonded you to your husband and vice versa. Not a lot of people will feel how it is to sit atop a dangerous flying beast and go anywhere you like, do anything you want to do. But Daemon is one of those few people that can.
