How do you think the asoiaf dragons will react to being courted by a wayyy smaller dragon?
This is an awesome idea! Thank you!
𝑩𝑨𝑳𝑬𝑹𝑰𝑶𝑵
・In his youth, this would be a different story.
・He has fathered many dragons in his time; some with Meraxes, others with Vhagar. Some on his own...
・But in his older age...
・He would not notice. Not at all.
・With his size, he listens to the Valyrian commands. But he doesn't interact with many other dragons.
・So when a dragonling tries to court ol' Balerion, she cannot quite get his attention.
he cannot hear her
he cannot see her
and if he does figure out what's going on, all he does is give a large chuff
・He can't be bothered with coupling anymore.
𝑴𝑬𝑹𝑨𝑿𝑬𝑺
・Would hear them out. Let them court her a few times...
・Doing her best to keep an open-mind.
・But there would be a bigger chance that they end up forming a friendship. Not anything to do with romance or partnership.
・But I can see Meraxes being a mentor to younger dragons
・She's adventerous. Loves the outdoors (and if the dragonling thinks they are still courting, they may give up once they realise just how much Meraxes loves flying. Their smaller wings get too tired!)
・And she isn't about to slow down or stop for them
𝑽𝑯𝑨𝑮𝑨𝑹
・No matter who wanted to court her, she would put them through trials.
・It didn't matter who was small or large, if you could pass her tests, then you had her respect (and that was a big thing)
・So, the youngling would be tested on:
How far they could fly
Their awareness on the ground & in the sky
How fast they were
How quickly they could pick up training
Reactions and reaction time
・Since the smaller dragon would only pass a few of these tests, Vhagar would deny them.
・However; she wouldn't disregard them completely.
・There would still be a 'keep on training and I'll let you try when you're older' type of vibe
𝑪𝑨𝑵𝑵𝑰𝑩𝑨𝑳
・Gives the dragon 1. chance to save themselves before he comes and eats them.
𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑴𝑰𝑻𝑯𝑶𝑹
・It takes a lot of courage and a little stupidity to try and court a male dragon with such a ...fiery personality.
・If the dragonling has their own fiery spirit, then they have a chance of ... survival. And with that, she may catch his attention as well.
・It really depends on his mood.
・It could be a grumpy x sunshine relationship - not romantic though. I think he would rather have a friendship...since he is mated with Silvering
𝑺𝑰𝑳𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑾𝑰𝑵𝑮
・Finds it charming. But automatically sees the younger/smaller dragon as a baby. Her motherly side comes out full force.
・Does not hurt the wanna-be suitor. She cleans him, puts him to bed. Slowly purring so the lil boy feels safe.
・But he's back tomorrow.
・And the next day after that.
・And oops! She accidentally has another child...
・However, the dragonling is deathly loyal to Silverwing. He would act like a protector, which makes Vermithor chuff.
・Wherever she goes, so does the smaller male. Unless it is far away, then he has to rest. His little wings cannot handle too much flying.
・And so, Silverwing would wait until he was ready to fly again.
𝑫𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑴𝑭𝒀𝑹𝑬
・Oh Dreamfyre Dreamfyre Dreamfyre.
・One of the most beautiful, dreamy dragons there ever was.
・However, she is constantly underestimated by other dragons.
・And the lil dragon thought she would be an easy one to court.
・He pranced up to her, a fish in his mouth and laid it near her.
・With a grunt, he pushed it towards her with his nose, and stepped back a few feet. Sitting patiently.
・Shifting her head, she cocked her head and said nothing.
・Day after day, there would be fish and more fish. A whole pile just for her.
On the 7th day, she beckoned him closer and roared:
"I DO NOT LIKE FISH!"
𝑪𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑿𝑬𝑺
・Poor Caraxes loves the attention
・There aren't many dragons that accept him. So when he's being sought after, it makes him feel all fuzzy inside
・But he tries to act cool!
・Doesn't like to come off as needy. Only shows that side to one particular dragon ...
・But when another being chooses to spend time with him! Oh my...he starts to open up. Quite quickly... Soon it turns into him being the one trying to court the other dragon
・Caraxes shows them his favourite items, tokens and such. He keeps them in a pile so he can wrap around them at night.
・Except the courtier didn't realise how weird he was...and backed off
𝑴𝑬𝑳𝑬𝒀𝑺
・She thinks it's a joke or some prank
"Seasmoke, I swear if you put that child up to this-"
・No, it wasn't Seasmoke, it was actually Sunfyre who was first approached by the little dragon.
・But he sent them off to court Meleys because "she was much older and without companionship" (he made the small dragon swear he would say anything!)
・When the smaller dragon clambered up to Meleys; who was resting on a rock in the sun. He could barely speak...
"Oh you look busy I'll just-"
"What do you want, child?" she said in a growl
"Uh, um, I was wondering if I could spend some time with you..."
・Meleys chuffed so avidly that one would think she was having a fit.
・The little dragonling stood there near-shivering
"If you are quiet. You may stay," Meleys rumbled. Then she put her head back down to catch the warmth.
a/n: this is changing the dragons from not just mount, but to being able to shift into a human-like form at will...
𝑺𝑭𝑾🌿
・The dragons Westeros once known (and barely understood anyway)...had started to evolve. Where once were leathery wings and two clawed legs, now stood a man. A giant of a man truly, with eyes that could pierce the soul.
・Had this been what everyone else experienced? You couldn't ask - not now, as he had flown you to a secluded patch of land, far from King's Landing ... or any kind of civilisation.
・You didn't know how to react when the transformation was complete and Balerion found a tree, and sat down against it.
・You were INCREDULOUS! Unable to look at the naked man before you; this was not how the bond was supposed to work??
"Nyke ȳdra daor pendagon ao sagon supposed naejot gaomagon bona." (I don't think you're supposed to do that…) You hissed to Balerion.
"Skorkydoso would ao gīmigon skoros nyke se am daor supposed naejot gaomagon?" (How would you know what I am and am not supposed to do?)
・You nearly screeched... Fluent in High Valyrian! He can speak and he is FLUENT!
・Your nose flared as you swung to look at him.
・That day you learnt a great deal of things. Among them was the fact that he knew the common tongue as well, was practically always hungry, and the most important thing ... you still had to wrap your head around...
・That the bond you have with Balerion isn't just rider & and mount. It's a soulbond.
・This was how they kept dragons in Valyria; through blood magic they made them human. They could stay in either form whenever they wished.
・But it also meant every few years, whoever was the dragon's rider - was also their mate. As in ... romantic mate.
・"Yn, nyke going naejot sagon married?" (But, I'm going to be married?)
"Ao emagon issare chosen hae ñuhon." (You have been chosen as mine.)
"Ondoso qilōni!" (By who!)
"Nyke iderēptan ao." (I chose you.)
・Only those that had been chosen know about this.
・It took you a while to fully come to terms with the fact that more dragons depended on your bond with Balerion.
・He gave you space.
・But only for three days.
・Then he came waltzing through your door, and took a seat in front of the fireplace. His long legs stretching, large thick arms spread against the seat's frame.
・You had been fretting in your bed, unable to sleep, only thinking and thinking. Anxiety getting the best of you.
"Come sit by the fire," he said. Balerion's voice was gravelly, at times forced - the shift still not fully easy after all these years.
"You said you would give me time to think!" You huffed into your pillow.
"I have given you time. But I wish to be with my mate. Now come."
・You rolled your eyes, flung the blanket back and grabbed your pillow. Pressing it to your chest, you skulked over to the maroon coloured seat.
・Your breath was taken straight from your body as you saw him.
・With the fireplace the only source of light, Balerion looked both an angel and a demon.
・Horns protruded from his head, the same shape as when he was a scaled beast. His red eyes found you, thick lashes blinking slowly. Tanned, olive skin seemed to gleam in the firelight.
・Balerion seemed to have hundreds of scars, but it only added to his ruggedness.
・You moved forward and sat near him, the pillow used as a barrier between you two.
・You hadn't noticed the pointed ears, or the small braids in his long hair.
・But as you looked upon him, Balerion was doing the same to you.
・He lifted his large scarred hand and held it against your cheek.
"My mate."

There isn't a lot of information about this dragon. What we know, is Terrax was the mount of noblewoman Jaenara Belaery, during the golden age of Valyria. Terrax and Jaenara are best known for their exploration. The furthest they went was Sothoryos.
Therefore, it can be noted that the pair were highly adventurous, curious and independant.

・Grey Ghost is known for being elusive, shy, and distrustful of humans.
・At first, he might keep his distance, circling his rider warily while growling or hissing softly.
・This would not be due to a lack of care but rather his instinct to observe and assess the situation before taking action.
・His sharp eyes would sweep across the area, and his ears would twitch at the faintest sound, ensuring that the injury wasn’t part of a larger trap or attack.
・In all honesty, Grey Ghost's natural instinct is to flee or hide and this would create conflict with his loyalty to his rider. Only for the first event of such kind.
・This inner turmoil would manifest as pacing, soft growling, or circling his rider protectively while he deliberates his next move.
・But he would never leave you on your own.
・Once Grey Ghost realizes the severity of his rider’s injury and identifies that they are in immediate danger (or distress), his protective instincts would kick in.
・His usual elusive nature would fall away, revealing a dragon fiercely devoted to safeguarding his rider.
・Grey Ghost would position himself over or around you, spreading his massive wings to shield you from any threats. His pale, ghostly form would seemingly blend into his surroundings, making it hard for enemies to target him directly.
・His tail might lash aggressively, and he could stomp the ground or snap his jaws at anyone he perceives as a threat.
・While Grey Ghost is typically non-confrontational, the injury of his rider would awaken a primal rage in him if he suspects foul play. His usual avoidance of human settlements or other dragons would be forgotten in the heat of the moment.
・If Grey Ghost identifies anyone responsible for harming his rider, his vengeance would be swift and terrifying. Despite his elusive reputation, he is still a dragon—a creature of fire and blood. His attacks would be calculated, using his natural camouflage to ambush and devastate his enemies.
・He might nudge you gently with his snout, his usually cold and distant eyes change to warmth and concern. If you're conscious, he might emit soft, almost apologetic rumbles, as if to comfort you.
・Grey Ghost would likely carry you to a more secluded, hidden location, away from prying eyes and potential threats. He would be hyper-aware of your condition, moving carefully to avoid causing them more pain or distress.
・Due to his distrust of humans, Grey Ghost might be reluctant to allow even trusted allies near his rider. He could growl or flare his wings at medics or friends attempting to approach, forcing them to convince him they mean no harm.
・If you are taken away for treatment, Grey Ghost would resist at first. But following you closely or circling above.
・His deep bond with you would make it difficult for him to be apart, even temporarily.

・Vermax would turn to you, and rub his snout on your cheek. He'd show an endearing, almost puppy-like concern for you.
・The green dragon's boldness might lead him to perceive any movement near his rider as a potential threat. He could snap at allies or growl at medics trying to help, only calming once he senses no ill intent.

a/n: This is pure headcanon; based on their personalities (that I've felt they're close to). And yes, I know there aren't facts about how dragons lay eggs/parent/act around younglings. But this is too cute. And dragons are very smart - I think more human than animal at times.

𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍:
・Much like his original rider, Aegon the Conquorer, I think Balerion would be a pretty good dragon-dad
・Very present and contributes to the upbringing of his lil ones
・HUGE compared to the hatchlings and is so careful about it
・Most likely mated with both Meraxes and Vhagar (if a male has to be involved???)
・Tears up when he's proud
・Knows that he might put too much pressure on his kids - but he refuses to bring them to the dragonpit, or any small enclosed area.
・It is known that dragons grow faster and larger when they have their freedom.
・The dragonpit is essentially stunting the dragons growth.
・Balerion is 100000% protective; even if his rider is there. He has his eyes on you, his current rider. Huffs when you get a bit too close.
・Especially if it's his first clutch.
・Feels bad about it but knows you understand. Dragon babies aren't like regular babies. They're very uncommon.
・When he has another lot of babies, he absolutely wants you involved as well. He realises that hatchlings aren't glass. And being around a trusted human can help their growth.
・You'd end up being parent no.3
𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐗𝐄𝐒:
・Gentle, loving and has said she has eyes in the back of her head
"But Mum that's impossible!"
"No it isn't, now go and play with your siblings"
・Wants to show off her babies to you, her rider, immediately.
"Look! We can have babies at the same time!" She says, and you just smile faintly at her. She truly is your best friend.
・Purrs at her nest, her big wing covering them so they're at their warmest.
・Completely allows you to come and sleep with them at night. It's one of the greatest experiences you've ever had. Four little dragons huddled around you, as you lay right next to Meraxes.
・Her wing like a shelter for the five of you.
・You could have sworn she was singing to help all of you sleep
𝐕𝐇𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐑:
・All her hatchlings turn out to be strong dragons
・But she only has one clutch and she's done, not raising anyone else
・Is a bit touchy if her rider (You) makes sudden movements around the younglings
・But you know her personality well. Very well. Similar to your own. You know when enough is enough.
・Hides them away for the first few months
・But still does her duty to you -
・However, every night she goes back to where she left them to find them all asleep. Little snores coming from the biggest baby.
・She huffs in delight. Upset that Balerion isn't here to see this. He would have loved these children.
・They little ones love you though. You'll bring them something to eat and then stroke their little bodies. They absolutely purr with delight.
𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑:
・Single Mother
・Type of Mum who gets the car seat ready, the bag ready, hops in the car and feels like she forget something - yeah the kid
・The hatchlings get her tail and accidentally hit each other in the face
・So excited to show them how to fly, it brings her a lot of joy to show them the world.
・They have a special call if anyone gets lost; there's all different types. For example, if someone is in danger, if they're hungry, scared, by themselves etc.
・Very comfortable with you, her rider, interacting and playing with her little ones.
・Just don't take them away or anything...otherwise she cannot be held responsible for what she'll do next.
・Constantly makes happy chirping noises
・Licks them clean until they're old enough to fly with her to a waterfall
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐁𝐀𝐋:
・"Too Small To Eat"
・Then he grows attached; there was only one that hatched and he said 'shit now I have to protect you.'
・Growls when he's had enough of the youngling. At first the little one was frightened of the big black dragon, with vibrant eyes and fire the colour of wildfire
・But then the youngling understood what set off the old dragons moods, and what made them better.
・Rough relationship at the start
・But being alone starts to sound kinda shitty when he has a lil friend with him.
・If anyone or anything tried to hurt his youngling, he would tear them apart.
・Pretends he doesn't know, but whenever the hatchling gets tired of flying, he'll land on Can's back.
・Booped Can's nose once and than ran away and hide for like thirty minutes.
𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑:
・As the mount of Jahaerys, he and Alysanne's dragon, Silverwing, were practically married. (Jahaerys and Alysanne were married and had 14 children)
・Grumpy Dad Who Loves His Kids
・Huffs when they climb on him - an attack of the hatchlings, he pretends they're winning and then jumps up and shakes them all off.
・They definitely whine like, "aww daaaaad! we were wiinniinnggg!"
"Sorry, I have to go pee."
"Ew dad!"
"What! Like you don't pee. Little hypocrites." He says while trudging away. Tail swinging from side to side just in case a little one is there. He does love giving them a lil slap.
・Not one to push the younglings to their limits; he's probably the most accepting of his children out of the male dragons.
・Very very anxious when they were first learning how to fly, and he nearly died when they started flying long distances.
"Honey, I can't handle this. My heart-" Vermithor chokes out.
"Oh knock it off," Silverwing replies with a laugh.
𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆:
・MOTHER. PURE MOTHER.
・She has that energy of being a great Mum to me. Especially with her rider being Alysanne, who was an advocate for women in Westeros.
・It is canon that she and Vermithor were close, and in my eyes they were mates. Partners. Married <3
・So, I think around hatchlings she would be such a mother hen.
・Letting out little noises to let her babies know she's close.
・Would definitely do 'The Mum Face' when she's fed up. Doesn't snap unless the hatchlings try to hurt each other.
・The most present mother out of the bunch ...
・Kicks Vermithor awake in the mornings; 'they're your kids before the sun's in the sky'
・Panics when she doesn't know where everyone is
・ExtreMELY protective of her babies; I think she had a very clutches that never hatched and she felt the loss of them.

𝑺𝑭𝑾🌿
・Syrax would be unwaveringly committed to you. Once the bond snaps in place, she only has eyes for you and expects the same devotion in return.
・In this relationship, you two possess the ability to communicate with each other in a way that goes beyond simple speech. Syrax can pick up on your emotions and feelings very quickly.
・All dragonshifter bonds have almost telepathic communication, but it is something both partners have to work on.
・In times of danger, Syrax would be a fierce protector, and you'd fight side by side.
・The bond would carry a lot of emotional depth, not just physical but also emotional and spiritual. You would be her confidante, her ally, and her anchor in times of uncertainty.
・Syrax's emotions run deep, and she would only ever bond with someone who can match her intensity.
・In this form, Syrax still possesses her keen senses, fiery temperament, and a deep connection to the skies and nature.
・Her human-like form has indications of her dragon self; her hair has an otherworldly shimmer, sharp fingernails, curled horns that protrude from her forehead, pointed ears and glowing eyes.
・Depending on her shift, she may retain scaled wings, allowing her to soar even in her human-like form.
・Whether she is looming over you as a dragon or standing beside you as a woman, Syrax is always your protector. If anyone so much as looks at you the wrong way, she bares her fangs in a silent warning.
・However, she does face challenges in adapting to human emotions, relationships, and societal norms.
・With her only able to dragonshift when she meets her soulmate/mate, it takes a while to understand the human way of life...
・So she asks you many, many questions about - everything.
"But I do not understand why!
"Well, I- I guess that's just the way it's been. Tradition. I think it's a tad stupid but ... that's why."
・Hence, you have to have a lot of patience with her
・Always wants to be near you; holding your hand, nuzzling into your shoulder, climbing ontop of you etc
・Likes to stare at you, you can often find her looking at you, no matter how close or far away she is.
"Oh! Sy, what are you staring at? Is there something on my face?"
"Yes," she says, leaning forward, "a kiss!"
・Bites you when she's bored...or just when you two are alone.
・Very jealous. Doesn't like it when someone looks at you too long.
・Loves sweet things; will eat an entire plate of honey lemons in 10 minutes flat
・Syrax would have such high energy; encouraging you to try new things and take risks. But reminding you that she'll always be there to catch you if you fall.
・She is so understanding. So empathetic toward you. Syrax only wants the best for you.
・There’s a strong, mutual desire to shield one another from harm.
・Nothing intimidates her. Any challenges that come up - she faces them head on. She's determined. A being who cannot be swayed.

・First of all, Syrax is incredibly possessive of you. She has a primal instinct to make everyone know that you are hers and she is yours.
・She is incredibly strong, even if she doesn't look it...and gods does she love using her strength against you
・Her favourite thing to do is hold you against a wall, or! pin you on the bed.
・Her teeth raking down your cheek, neck, chest and stomach...
・Syrax loves to mark you. Bites, bruises, deep scratches. She expects to see them the next day. If she notices them fading too quickly...she’ll remedy that immediately.
・Needs to have her scent on you. Many know you are together, but with her scent Syrax is letting every other magical being that you are bonded
・When her instincts are particularly strong, she burns for you - literally. Her body runs hotter than a human's and when she's aroused, her body is warm to the touch.
・She does have a Heat.
・And it can last for upto a week. During that time, no matter what has to be done, Syrax is not letting you leave her side. She needs to be near you at all times.
・During this time, she is constantly wet, constantly needing you.
・She ruts against you, sometimes slowly, just to relieve some part of her. Other times, she pins you down and humps you until she's reached her peak.
・If it was any other time, she would want to be the dominant one. But during her Heat, she wants to be used; wants her hair pulled, her nipples swollen from constant biting and pulling.
・Even when she cums, she makes different noises. She sounds more needy - whining and crying out.

𝑳𝑶𝑹𝑬:
graphic picture ahead -
In the days of Old Valyria Blood Magic was used to create the dragons species by a dragon hybrid choosing a mate. The hybrid had to be in a morphing form into his dragon form. Therefore, creating the dragon spirit that would fill the womb of his human mate.
・Hot-headed, overprotective and showing his animalistic side...always... like a dog with a bone, he will not let anyone touch you, nay; he will not let anyone even look at you too long.
・You often think that the human part of his shift could come out more prominantly, but it just doesn't.
・You do have to remind him that he isn't allowed to kill anyone in his path, that there are rules in human society that are vastly different to the ones in dragon culture.
"Bloody ridiculous, all of it."
・In human form, it's too obvious he isn't human. (Well, yes that is the same with the rest of those who can dragon-shift, but Caraxes cannot let go of his dragon side while human like the others can). It doesn't help that his eyes seem to glow all the time, on his face are tattooed runes from Old Valyria, long thick red hair, darkened lips, pointed ears and extremely large and obvious horns protruding from his head.
・Oh and he was the tallest man you had ever seen
・Standing at 7 feet tall, you thought Westeros had in fact been overrun by some sort of alien creature.
・But no. All dragonshifters are over 6'5 feet. Any less and they are considered still in childhood.
・The first time you saw his human form, you thought he was the most handsome being you had ever laid eyes on.
・A flurry of words that constantly contradicted one another: graceful yet aggressive, mysterious yet direct, there was a pull to him. A pull so ancient that you thought you might die if you didn't follow it.
・And Caraxes was used to ancient authority (he actually hates authority) but still...he knew he needed to listen this time.
・Still an outsider as a human - but he doesn't care, not when he has you.
・He knows how to do Valyrian braids, and loves when you sit on a pillow in front of him while he sits behind you. Humming, which turns to singing - an Old Valyrian one that only mates sing to one another.
・Loves giving you gifts; absolutely showers you in them.
・Caraxes is a shifty, silver-tongued character who is also a big dumbass once he's not playing into the intimidation role
・CONSTANTLY LOYAL AND WILL SQUARE UP TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE.

・Caraxes loves to hear your moans, especially when it's his name. He wants it loud, louder, louder. Pouding into you, drunk on your body.
・Then he ends up being just as loud - and then he gets so absorbed by you that he cannot make a comprehensive sentence
・His favourite positions are the ones where you're closest.
・"Just like that, keep going. Keep going beautiful."
・Caraxes loves praise, both giving it and receiving it. He does feel lonely; he would never admit it verbally. But ends up showing it in different ways. Such as this.

A/N: This is all my own headcanons and ideas, it's not canon - George hasn't released a lot about how blood magic works, or how the dragons came to be. So I'm ... taking creative liberties. If you have a different opinion then that's cool too!

a/n: I was inspired by @reiignonme, and I just HAD to do this. I'm so excited to write it. Also, I do know that dragons are aggressive creatures, but to their bonded rider, they're different.
ᴹᵃˢᵗᵉʳˡᶤˢᵗ | ᴹᵃˢᵗᵉʳˡᶤˢᵗ ᴵᴵ
𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍:
・The God of Dragons, is what his title should have been
・But to you, he wasn't the intimidating beast that everyone saw him as.
・To you he was a work of art, a creation so wonderous that your breath hitched whenever you saw him.
・You show your love to him by laying beside him, treating him with respect and dignity.
・You hate leaving him on his own, but you allow him his independence.
・Never in a million years would you put him in the Dragonpit, chained and waiting for you.
・And in turn, he shows you his love by fiercely protecting you. He will fly you anywhere, and calls whenever he's beckoned.
・Only obedient to you, he doesn't listen to anyone else but you. However, it's almost as if he's level-headed and can be reasoned with.
・The other dragons fall in line and let him lead - which means you're the leader as well.
・His roar is earth-shakingly loud. And it can be heard from miles away.
・All of your subjects bow to you, knowing your power.
・Because we know, that a dragonrider has the same traits as their dragon.
𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐗𝐄𝐒:
・Is quite the adventurous dragon; she isn't one to be paraded around like Silverwing or Dreamfyre. She rather dislikes large crowds, preferring mountainsides and flying over oceans. She doesn't like small spaces either.
・Bonding with Meraxes was like bonding with a Border Collie - always has energy and curiosity
・But unlike Quicksilver, Meraxes is less energetic in a comic sense. She's more mature; more battle-worn.
・Will protect you unrelentingly.
・Hates sudden loud noises
・But loves hearing how much you love her and how much of a good job she's done
・Her teeth are smaller than the other dragons, but more pointed/sharp and there's more of them
・Her roar is also more high pitch and of a scream
・Meraxes' scales are pearlescent and seem to move in the sunlight
・Not many people know that, because she doesn't like being approached by others.
・That's why she isn't kept in the dragonpit.
・But she isn't as aggressive as Vermithor or the Cannibal
・You can tell that she wants a mate though, and often tries to woo Balerion - but he wants none of it.
𝐕𝐇𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐑:
・She shows her love by waiting for you to sit on her saddle before taking off.
・You have to shout out the command to fly and then, she takes off.
・You have a very special bond with Vhagar, which clicked into place because you would spend more time looking after her than making her fly.
・For example, talking to her, brushing/washing her, stroking her face.
・For those who don't think dragons understand - you're wrong because they really do. That's why some riders have a bigger bond than others.
・Some just see their dragon as an animal, as a beast. But those that see them as apart of them, that's when the true bond clicks into place.
・And you knew that being pampered is everyone's dream - or just being doted upon. So, because you put in the hours for her, she does the same for you.
・She obeys your commands without question, because she trusts you.
・But she doesn't like anyone else touching her, in fact there's a few trainers with burnt hands because of Vhagar.
・She loves laying in the sun, and will fly you to a beach to lay in the sand. Often you're chastised by your family for bringing sand into the castle.
𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑:
・LOVES TO FLY
・She's the type of dragon to be like, "let's go faster! let's go faaaaasteeeer!"
・Isn't as aggressive as others, but would rather be away from people if able.
・Hates being paraded around
・But will do it if persuaded with food and belly rubs (although most dragons don't like to expose their stomachs as it is one of their most vulnerable body parts)
・When you introduce her to a friend or acquaintance, she does a big roar and then huffs a laugh at the person's scared response
・One of the more docile dragons like Silverwing
・Has similar colouring to Meraxes, but unlike her, Quicksilver is smaller but nimbler.
・One of the fastest
・Can beat anyone in a race
・And she LOVES to race
・Has to be ridden everyday otherwise she goes hyperactive and will lash out at the trainers
・Once when you were bedridden for a week, she flicked a whole group of trainers with her tail and then let out the biggest flame she had ever expelled.
・Tail flick = I'm irritated, Roar = I'm hungry or is trying to scare someone for a laugh, Fire = she is actually angry, Baring her teeth = scared
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐁𝐀𝐋:
・No one is allowed to approach him, hell no one is allowed to look at him.
・He's an incredibly aggressive and temperamental dragon. One that hates everyone but you.
・Completely black, he's known for eating other dragons - which makes him an outsider. No dragon, no matter how mighty, doesn't feel safe around him
・Even Balerion keeps his distance
・You weren't sure whether to keep his name or not, since you did have an emotional connection with him.
・But you guessed that he like being intimidating
・You have to feed him yourself or he will go hunting for dragons or sheep. Hasn't actually eaten a person, but has killed many.
・As he's your bonded dragon, people are a lot more intimidated by you. Since dragons and riders have somewhat similar traits.
・Although he does like showing you his den. He looks at you like, 'it's nice, isn't it. Did you see the bones I placed at the front? Yeah...it's to scare people off...'
・You see him differently than others see him. You aren't afraid of him. It's how you were able to bond with him in the first place.
・There was something in his eye that you thought was vulnerability, rather than hostility.
𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑:
・His favourite form of physical touch is being scratched, like, really really scratched.
・Vermithor's back leg will wobble in absolute delight
・Especially when you get to those places where he cannot reach himself
・Doesn't like anyone but you doing it (or anyone but you being in the room when you do it)
・He's a very private & grumpy boi. Doesn't like being woken too early either. And likes to have an afternoon nap.
・And an angry/aggressive one too. He doesn't like being woken up early, and once you had to dodge out of his firing line. When he realised it was you, he made a really long upset face (that only you and his only other rider, Jaehaerys has seen)
・But he's incredibly loyal, and would die for you.
・What's important to you, is important to him (unless it's before 8am)
・Can sense when you're overwhelmed and will let out a huge roar so no one comes near
・Likes when you fall asleep with him. He may like his solitude, but he doesn't mind company (it depends on the company)
・Actually likes doing royal processions because he gets to show off how big and scary he is. He knows it's too remind the people of whose in charge.
𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆:
・The least aggressive out of all the dragons (but that doesn't make her a formidable foe.)
・It's almost as if Silverwing understands that dragons keep people in line, but an approachable dragon keeps the respect and admiration of the people
・If she's patient and sociable with others, then you know damn well she has all the love, patience and affection for you.
・She shows her affection by nuzzling into your open palm, her eyes closed and you swear her lips are in the shape of a smile
・Wherever you are - standing alone, or in a crowd etc., she has her body wrapped around you; shielding you.
・And when you're alone together, she'll lay down and let you rest with her, and/or on her. Then, she'll fully wrap around you to help you warm up.
・She absolutely loves spending time with you. Funnily enough, she's a very outgoing dragon.
・She won't let you come into any harm though. Either because she herself has placated the people who could hurt you (the common people) by interacting with them calmly and gently.
・And if anyone tries to hurt you, she's the first to react. Although her temperament seems calm, she is highly protective of you and will burn someone to ash if they try to hurt you.
・When you're in King's Landing and the King demands that Silverwing be put in the Dragonpits, you sneak down to sleep with her. You have a very tight bond.
・Otherwise, she takes you somewhere else to sleep; amongst the grass, so you can fall asleep underneath the stars.
