My husband changed my life by suggesting a wall file organizer.
Back from conferencing and back to editing
(lol guess my favorite color)
It’s been a year and a half since I was active on here. So, who am I?
I am:
ABD
Public Historian
Historian of American Catholicism
TT Professor
Newlywed (as of June!)
Happy cat owner
Lover of coffee, wine, & gin
Freaking stressed about my dissertation
Why is thinking about writing so much easier than actually writing?
Day 23 of 30 The past few days I have had no internet, hence the lack of updates! Saturday I attended a workshop and Jesuit grad student game night. Sunday I did research. Monday was gross. However, I met about hosting a September interfaith history event. Today I baked a casserole.
Day 18
Today was not a productive day. I had a horrible time focusing. I did the bare minimum of my TA work. I joked around too much with the other TAs. However, I did get a care package from home with some stuff I left there over Christmas. My mom even sent me chocolate and coffee! And quarters for my laundry!
Not everyday is going to be as productive as I like, but sometimes you need to take the time to laugh.
Day 15 of 30
Ok, so clearly I’m not great at posting stuff every single day. I’ve spent most time reading old Presbyterian things and cooking the past two days. On Saturday I participated in a Reacting to the Past workshop. In a dramatic turn of events, my “character” (Gov. John Connally of Texas) stood on a chair to defect to the Republican Party and support Nixon.
Apparently I am Department lore now for my stunning performance.
