Mod Announcement
In April 2009, a small group of friends were chatting on Twitter about how the middle of the week was just the worst. Halfway between weekends, it felt like there was a gaping void on Wednesday. Being avid fanfiction writers and readers, they began to brainstorm about how hump day could be improved. "Smut!" And thus, HP_HUMPDRABBLES was born. It's nearly been seven years, and in that time, this community has grown from a small project among a few friends to a thriving,amazing community. None of us who were there at the beginning could have imagined how well received HP_HUMPDRABBLES would be in this little corner of fandom, and that is because of you. You were here every week, reading the amazing drabbles along with us. You wrote for the weekly hump posts. You participated in Humpfest, Hump Madness, and Humpathon, and helped make those events the great success they were. We're both blown away by your love for this community, a love we both share with you. Yet the time has come for us to step back and let someone new take the reins. This was a difficult decision for us, as this community is our baby, but neither of us are at a point in our lives where we have the time to devote to day to day modding, and we don't want the community to suffer for it. However, we've got two amazing people lined up to take the keys to the kingdom from us, and we know they'll do an amazing job here. We can't say goodbye without a hat tip and a big smooch for ELLE_BLESSING. She took the initiative and created this community from our crazy Twitter conversation. Even after she stepped aside as a mod a few years ago, she's remained a constant presence, and her unique and creative touch can be reflected in the amazing artwork and layouts at HP_HUMPDRABBLES. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this ride as steamy, sexy, smutty, and FUN as it has been. We look forward to watching this community continue to thrive from the sidelines.
