♠: your muse adjusting their jewelry/neck tie/etc

barely any of the lights have been turned on in the bar, and for a moment, it looks as if this’ll be it. it’s a miracle london can even see what she’s writing in her notebook while the rest of the staff get to work on setting the place up, overturning chairs and wiping down table tops, ready for service. 

she’s got a glass of coke by her side because the bartender doesn’t want to serve her alcohol until they’re properly open for the night, and london winces every now and again at the bubbles giving her something between hiccups and a mild heart attack. 

but tonight’s not about her. she’s been given an exclusive invitation to one of seokbeom’s live performances, and like hell she wouldn’t accept it. she glances up from her writing to watch him set up, most, if not all, of the light in the bar coming from the stage where he’s tuning his guitar. he’s making weird faces as he stretches his mouth and she can’t help but laugh in equal parts amusement and amazement. 

when seokbeom props his guitar down against the stand and makes his way towards her, london stops writing and doesn’t say a word of protest at the way he reaches for her drink and takes a sip. 

“how do i look?” he asks. london gives him a once-over, the legs of her chair scraping against the hardwood floor as she stands with a small smile. he looks good, like he belongs in this bar, like this isn’t his first time performing in front of her, like he’s done this a million times already. 

( he probably has. ) 

“good,” london replies, reaching up to fix the collar of seokbeom’s shirt. “really good. knock ‘em dead, music man.”
