headcanons harry potter edition.

she was born on july 13, 990. to put it simply, she’s as old as hogwarts.

i. one of these days, i’ll have to write up the lore i follow for vampires, but for now i give you some basic details : angelika cannot have children. she doesn’t drink blood from the source and seeks out other means to survive. she seeks living as close to human as she possibly can. she doesn’t burn in the sunlight, her vampiric abilities are simply weakened, vice versa she’s at her most powerful at night. she can still eat human food, still requires sleep, and can cry. ii. the main ship in her verse is with @maskforged. and considering i’ve tied a lot of her character into this ship with owly, it will probably be the only ship. iii. she carries a bubbly, bright demeanor, and serves as a beacon for a lot of her students. she always treats them with kindness, even when they’ve done wrong. hatefulness is not in her nature. iv. she teaches history of magic, however, she is frequently found tutoring students in several different types of subjects : potions, is the major one, simply because she knows students have a hard time with approaching snape for help. transfiguration, charms, divination. she’s been alive for centuries and has several lifetimes of knowledge, considering her subject isn’t extremely difficult, she helps where she can. v. she began dating snape during the triwizard tournament. they actually went to the yule as dates ( though this knowledge isn’t known to anyone aside from themselves. ) everyone knows that the two are rather close, and are very good friends. so seeing them at the yule together sparked ideas, but no one ever had the courage to ask about them. vi. her patronus changed. when she was younger, prior to being unable to produce it for sometime, her patronus was a cat. during the summer before ootp, she attempted to produce one, and it took the form of a fruit bat instead. based on the fact that patronuses are conjured by recalling happy memories, it stands to reason that a patronus might change its form after one falls in love and the memories used to conjure the patronus largely revolve around the person the caster is in love with. . and considering her feelings for snape, she’s honestly not that shocked by it changing in the first place. vii. she’s a member of the order of the phoenix and can be found at most, if not all meetings at grimmuld place during ootp. viii. right before the new term started ( hbp, ) snape calls off their relationship. it destroys her. coming into the new term, she’s visibly distressed, though she tries to keep it together. it takes no time to notice her absence at meals, at staff meetings, during study periods, or her mental health declining. she stops taking care of herself completely. she returns after the holidays with a new attitude, having come to the horrible conclusion that she’s never getting him back, and rather than putting on a face of sorrow, she becomes a little cold. and by the end of the term, at least on the outside, she appears to have returned to her normal self. ix. during the events of the deathly hallows, she spends her time at hogwarts desperately attempting to provide comfort and security for the students. in her eyes, she died last year. she doesn’t care about what the carrows do to her, the protection of her students is more important than herself. the number of fights she gets in with the carrows are endless, and has ended up severely injured on several occasions ( though, being a vampire prevents her from dying and she bounces back rather quickly. ) x. the battle for hogwarts was horrifying for her. watching her students die, from bumping into snape again, only for him to reveal that his feelings for her had never changed. he kissed her and she realized that all of this for the past two years have been a lie. the risk of losing him was too great, and she would ultimately tail along after him, and witnessing voldemort’s vicious attack on him. she would save his life, granting him the gift of immortality in the hopes of being able to have a different life with him. xi. and aside from dealing w/ him during his recovery from his injuries, she sticks @ snape’s side through all of it. with them officially together, she returns to hogwarts and resumes her post, while also aiding in the rebuild of the school.

you could say i was lucky. my family was practically drowning in money. not that it mattered once i went to hogwarts. i didn’t exist in that house once i got my letter. ruslan and varvara were the worst type of parents. as soon as i was suddenly DIFFERENT, as soon as i was no longer the perfect daughter they envisioned, they pretended i didn’t exist. they starved me, renovated my room into another lounge, neglected me. timur was even worse. the numerous threats i received upon my life from him were outstanding. the only one who didn’t seem to mind what i was was sergei, my little brother. i’d have died a long time ago if it hadn’t been for him sneaking me food, sneaking me water, opting to allow me to share his own room in the three years i lived there after first starting at hogwarts. but when my parents died, they wrote me out of their wills. timur, being ten years older than me became my legal guardian. his first action as my guardian was to disown me. i was fourteen. i never saw sergei again, though we wrote each other often. he’s the only one i miss. the rest of them can rot for what they did to me.
