The physical differences between the Miya’s though…

2mm height difference, 1.2kg weight difference, 1 point difference in power… Is Osamu the twin who’s 1 minute older too? Also, that 1.2kg is probably muscle mass and all the food Osamu constantly eats.

I didn’t expect Alan to be in one of (if not) the top class(es)? I thought he’d have average grades, but if Inarizaki’s classes are ranked then… wow. If Class 5 is the top class, would that mean he’s in the same class as Kita?

And then… there are the twins; not only are they in the lowest classes, but Atsumu is a bit better than Osamu? I thought Osamu would have good grades…

Maybe the twins’ grades are pretty similar; Osamu is amongst the top in Class 1 and is close to being in Class 2, while Atsumu is near the bottom of Class 2 and is close to being in Class 1.

I guess this means that the twins aren’t completely devoted to their studies, and they’re probably too busy playing volleyball or sports video games or training or watching matches. Maybe they get so distracted by one another’s shit that it’s impossible to study peacefully. And Atsumu probably gloats about being the “smarter twin” when a situation calls for it (aka a petty argument).

I’m just gonna… gush about the new Vol29 stats…

Mika’s game sense is pretty high, probably because Suguru has been teaching her and she’s quick to understand the rules of volleyball? Her power level isn’t too bad either.

Alan has a 5 in power, unsurprisingly. Since he’s in the Top 5, I compared him to Ushijima and Bokuto. He’s the slowest out of the three, with 2 in speed (Ushijima=3, Bokuto=4) and while he has a 4 in stamina, the other two have a 5. But all three aces have the same stat in power, jump and technique.

I love the Miyas’ stats because they make so much sense. They’re the same when it comes to jumping, stamina and speed, but then there are stats which are different because of the difference in how each twin plays volleyball.

Osamu’s power is a 4 while Atsumu is 3, obviously because Osamu is a wing spiker but also because he’s generally more physical than Atsumu (he completely destroyed Atsumu in that one fight). Meanwhile, Atsumu’s technique and game sense are a 5, while Osamu’s are a 4. I feel like this reflects on the fact that Atsumu is more passionate about volleyball; these stats could only be from him constantly learning more about the game and his need to learn new tricks. Osamu’s stats came more naturally rather than Atsumu’s hard work (not like Osamu hasn’t worked hard to get such good all-around stats).

Anyways, I really want to see the rest of Inarizaki’s stats (which will be in around February….). Looking forward to Power: 5 Gin and Game Sense: 5 Suna.

Volume 29!!! And another light novel!!

It’s up to Ginjima and/or Kosaku to redeem the Inarizaki 2nd years and their low grades.

The 3rd years have Kita, so they were safe from the very beginning. And Alan’s in Class 5 anyway.

HQ Volume 30 was released today, with Tanaka on the front of the cover and Kenma on the back. I’m estimating the chapters to go from Ch261 to Ch269, starting from the end of the first set of Karasuno vs Inarizaki and finishing at the end of the Nekoma vs Sarukawa match.

With that said, I’m not sure what profiles will appear in the volume? Originally, I thought that it would be another 4 Inarizaki members (Suna, Gin, Oomimi, Akagi) but that was without thinking about Sarukawa Tech and their one and only appearance in this volume. And since most of Inarizaki hasn’t even had their time to shine at this point (Gin, Akagi and Oomimi have had only one line), I feel like the profiles could centre around Sarukawa instead.

The only full profile we’d get from Sarukawa would probably be Coach Aritaka’s, and then brief details of the Sarukawa members (since they hardly got any attention...). However, if we do get Inarizaki profiles, we’d get Suna’s profile at least. And if that’s the case, I’m guessing that Volume 31 (an Inarizaki-centric volume) will have profiles for Gin, Oomimi, Akagi and of course, Kita.
