◖◖ Headcanon: July 11- Hunter and Natalie head out to a dance club where Hunter teaches Natalie how to do the Viennese Waltz. Their chemistry on the dance floor follows them back to campus and into bed.◗◗
Hunter and Natalie had been dancing together for a while now, and more often than not it ended up with the two of them tangled in bed sheets. It had started with Hunter looking for someone to ballroom dance with. Natalie had never really enjoyed the style as a child but maybe it was something about the built gymnast partner that changed her mind. This particular evening, Hunter had invited Natalie to a Viennese Waltz workshop at a dance club downtown. The Viennese Waltz was the original waltz and is a fast 180 beats ( or 58-60 measures) per minute dance where the dancers are constantly turning either toward the leader's right (natural) or toward the leader's left (reverse), interspersed with non-rotating change steps to switch between the direction of rotation.
The Viennese Waltz is a romantic dance, but a quick one that never failed to get Hunter's blood pumping and the pulse racing. The constant turning, spinning always left him with a heady feeling, like the thrill of competition, or the adrenaline filled military maneuvers he was used to from the academy. From the moment Hunter had seen Natalie that night, hair swept up and in a long flowy dress that circled around them, swishing softly against the music, he knew he'd end up peeling the layers of light fabric from her glistening skin before the night was through.
Returning to her apartment after their workshop, they were barely at the door before lips claimed each other, hands quickly divesting each other of clothes. Their sexual exploits often mimicked their actions on the dance floor, and this evening was no exception. Hunter always stayed for a bit afterwards, as they both rested quietly, but he always woke Natalie, pressing a kiss to her forehead before dressing and returning home.
