“well if you couldn’t tell, jesse, i’m not very good with feelings.” her arms raised up in exasperation before falling back to her side. “i didn’t know how to tell you.” before jesse, her ‘relationships’ had consisted of one night stands and no strings attached. she had never had to deal with falling in love; hell, she didn’t even know if that was possible for herself. via froze at his words and for a moment, her tough expression faltered yet again. she hadn’t realized she had been making jesse feel so awful, and she suddenly felt guilty. and that’s exactly how she knew she loved jesse; she had never before felt these kind of emotions, not with anyone else. “i’m ” the blonde hesitated, the corner of her lips tugging downward. “i’m sorry that i made you feel that way. that was my never intention. i’ve never been in a relationship before. no one’s ever loved me before, and i guess i just don’t know how to act.” she admitted with a small shrug of her shoulders. she allowed him to pull her forward and while she wasn’t happy about it, she didn’t budge. she rolled her eyes as he laughed; she knew he wouldn’t be able to understand. “it’s not funny, jesse. i’m serious. and it’s not just a little danger. it’s life or death stuff, and i’m not dragging you through that.” another sigh escaped her lips, and she shook her head. “no, no, it’s nothing you did. but i mean, look at where you come from. and then look at where i come from. it’s embarrassing.” via took the opportunity to take a step back from jesse’s embrace, crossing her arms over her chest yet again. “i’ve never done this, either. but you don’t see me around fucking random guys. should i go and do that, make it even?” she suggested sarcastically, eyes narrowing in. “that doesn’t make me feel any better, jesse. should i be happy that you thought of me after putting your dick in someone else? how romantic.”
“i’m sorry.” he told her once again. “i should’ve talked to you instead of doing what i did. i really wasn’t thinking.” it was completely selfish of him to only think of himself, because he was just like her as he too, rarely did feelings. but being with via was different and confusing as jesse is usually the distant one and his girlfriend is usually the one trying to pull him in and make the relationship work, being with somebody that was almost like the past version of himself forced him to believe they didn’t care. “hey, it’s okay.” jesse began, reverting his attention back to the female once again. “you don’t have anything to apologise for, it’s my fault. and that’s crazy, how can anyone meet you and not fall in love with you? damn, you had me wrapped around your finger from the day we met.” the smile on his lips faded when she admitted that it wasn’t funny, and that she was serious. “then why are you involved then? if whatever this is is so dangerous… i don’t want you living somewhere or being friends with people that could get you killed, via.” he told her, hands gripping her hips in protection. “okay, i can’t tell you how to feel but… you don’t need to be embarrassed, ok? i don’t care about that stuff. sure i like spending thousands of dollars on you because i love you and you deserve it but i’m not gonna all of a sudden end things with you because our lives are completely different.” the red head’s heart dropped when she moved out of his hold and he knew that he was about to lose her. cringing at the thought of the female with somebody else, he squeezed his eyes shut trying to rid his brain of the images. “sorry, that was a dumb thing to say. i just want you to know that i really do love you and sleeping with someone else was a mistake that i’m never gonna make again. and i get it if you can’t forgive me, but please don’t break up with me.” the male pleaded, stepping closer to the blonde. “at least not yet, just think about it. because i really do love you and i don’t want to lose you.”
