Did you hear about h.r. 173?
I’m assuming you mean HR 193, the “American Sovereignty Restoration Act”, that wants the US to leave the UN. Yes, I know about it. The social media panic over it is frustrating because it’s such wasted energy. There are so many other real and immediate issues we should be worried about than HR 193. For starters, the bill has nothing to do with Trump (was introduced a few weeks before he was inaugurated). And it’s also only been introduced, there’s no vote or intention of even getting it to a voting phase. And there has been an “American Sovereignty Restoration Act” introduced every new Congress cycle since Ron Paul introduced one in 1997 aka 20 years ago. And never has it gotten anywhere beyond just being introduced (no votes, no intention to have a vote, etc).
So unless it breaks the 20 year cycle and actually gets anywhere near a potential vote (which I’m doubtful it will), I think we can all chill a little about it and direct our focus to more immediate concerns, such as many of Trump’s executive orders.
