Spoilers for HR Curse of Strahd ep 30

This episode was such a sucker punch in the feels. In many ways but mainly the scene with Rose and Shadow.

I’m so glad that their first meeting since Shadow’s death wasn’t during a combat, that Mark gave them the opportunity to just talk. Kim was very impatient to interact with Rose, her and Katie did such a good job.

Despite all the sadness and the creepy factor, there is something very touching in the fact that, even with Shadow as a vampire spawn, they’re both in agreement of what has to be done, Shadow must be killed so she can rest.

And poor Rose, Rose who’s the only one from the original team (minus Ismaark and Ireena) and that came to Barovia willingly (somewhat), Rose who can’t properly grieve when Shadow, whose last word to her was a demand to be properly put to rest, is still a vampire spawn.

And lastly, Mark who put the nail in the coffin (pun intended) in this gutting interraction “This isn’t a dream, you aren’t asleep, you can’t wake up”

Kim's speech as Shadow tonight was INCREDIBLE and really highlights her strength in RP - it's not always fun and games, it's intense and spicy and I AM SO HERE FOR IT!

Xiiki!!!! Lilies are such a Xiiki coded flower to me, they represent innocence being restored to the soul after death (i’m choosing to ignore that she got turned into an imp and lives in hell now)
