coffee & rain || closed starter for @dxllycade
Halfway to find shelter, Haru realized that covering himself with his coat was useless; the coat was drenched, and the rest of his clothes were soaked as well. The only part of him that remained somewhat dry was his hair. As he looked around, he spotted an open coffee shop where he could wait until the storm passed, since the nearest convenience store he found on his phone was still out of sight.
Haru stood outside the coffee shop, leaning against the doorframe to catch his breath after his sprint. Rain streamed down the sides of his face as he glanced back, noticing another figure running toward the shop, their footsteps splashing through puddles. Haru shifted to the side to make space, his breath fogging slightly in the cool, damp air.
When the stranger finally reached the awning, both equally soaked, Haru let out a small sigh and voiced, “Looks like the weather forecast got it wrong today, huh?” He gestured toward the door. “I’m heading in. Are you coming?” He then pushed the door open and held it for the other person while waiting for a response.
