the way that even to the end judas rejects the concept of jesus's divinity....to the end, judas thinks he's just another man, "the same as anyone i know," but jesus's pull and influence on him is JUST as strong, despite that. judas refuses to believe jesus is a god or a king but regardless, judas realizes at this point in the story the difference is semantics, for how jesus effects him--he might as well be, for how judas loves him as a god, serves him as if he were a king. judas doesn't worship him, but he does adore him, and he can't live with that realization. that's why this is the turning point to judas's suicide--because god or man, king or begger, jesus is still, equally, everything to judas, and judas has still thrown that everything away
