Robert: I would die for you.
Flambae: Yeah but would you live for me?
Robert: That feels more difficult.

Robert: I would die for you.
Flambae: Yeah but would you live for me?
Robert: That feels more difficult.
Flambae: You keep getting hurt because you think you’re unbreakable.
Robert: And you keep fixing me like I’m yours.
Flambae: You are.
Do you think when it's winter, Robert takes 'advantage' of Flambae being a legit walking heater. Bc that man does not have money for a decent winter jacket. At first they think he's doing it on purpose, forgetting his jacket or using it as an excuse to be close to flambae. But eventually they all realise that this man just doesnt own winter clothes and its his subconscious moving towards the heat.
Flambae: Did you just hug me?
Robert: No.
Flambae: You literally wrapped your arms around me-
Robert: You tripped and I stabilized you.
Flambae: For a full minute?
Robert: You’re very unstable.
Flambae believes in structure, habits, survival routines. Robert believes in “I’ll eat when I remember and sleep when I drop.”
Whenever Robert forgets to eat, Flambae silently places a plate in front of them. Whenever Robert pushes himself too far, Flambae physically drags him away from work with a blunt, “Babe, you’re going to die before I do and that’s embarrassing.”
Their care for each other is mismatched but complementary: Robert handles the practical needs, and Flambae handles the emotional ones. When Robert spirals into guilt or self-blame, Flambae is the one who sits him down, cups his face, and forces him to breathe. When Flambae breaks down from burnout, Robert is the one who quietly wraps them in a blanket without making a fuss
Robert secretly believes that loving him is a liability. That anyone close to him is automatically in danger. There are nights where he lies awake beside Flambae, staring at the ceiling, convincing himself that the safest thing he could do for him is to leave.
He never does, but the thought never fully goes away. Flambae senses the distance when it creeps in and doesn’t understand why Robert suddenly pulls back when nothing is wrong.
Grace: I'm not stupid, I'm just running on no sleep and heavy painkillers. Rocky: Yes. Stupid. Same thing. Grace: That is NOT what I said. Rocky: Fix orbit while stupid. Good idea. Grace: I hate you. Rocky: No you don't. Grace: …No I don't.
Flambae lives for making Robert laugh. Not the polite exhale through his nose, the real laugh that surprises even him.
Flambae will do the dumbest, most reckless, most embarrassing things just to hear it. Every time it happens, he will freeze for half a second afterward, just to memorize the sound.
Robert has no idea how precious his laughter is to Flambae.
