I introduce to the world my two custom creations!!! These two diy basses took me roughly about 3 months to complete of non stop workin on them in my spare time. Went with a ric style control set for my first build and then my own control setup for the second build. Kickass hipshot bridges on both pieces. Both sound great (to me at least) both have their own flavor. Made a bunch of pickguards I’m probably not gonna use learning how to do it just right. Probably not a smart or useful idea but i soldered together clip-ons for the pickups and controls. Inspired by EMGPups. Allows me to switch out and test different pickups and controls as I see fit. Custom wound MMPup and J-Wilkinson Pups on both. Heavily inspired by YouTuber Dan Thompson and his channel Guns and Guitars. Highly recommend anyone interested in DIY to check his videos out.
