i know someone alrdy asked about your headcanons about the Al-Asim family but i totally wanted to ask if you had any more ideas/headcanons for Papa Asim!!!

I do have some thoughts about Papa Asim...
Ok, once again, first of all: PERSONAL HEADCANONS THIS ISN'T CANON AND IT DOESN'T MEAN IT WILL BE THIS WAY IN THE FIC.
He's also gone through hell and back. The kidnappings, poisonings, attempts on his life, betrayals... He went through all of it as a kid too, and probably as an adult, he's never been able to just let his guard down.
He DOES love his kids, in his own way, and tries to keep them safe.
He has no magic of his own, but is very proud of Kalim's, hence why he lets him go far away to magic school and why he was willing to just MAKE him a magic school.
He is cunning, he is charismatic, he is ruthless when he has to be, and they are so lucky he has no interest in the throne, his plate is full enough already.
Kalim mentions he's always smiling and I am sure he is, but most of the times that smile is a mask, not because he is hurting or evil, but because it makes him seem more approachable, and people tend to lower their guards. (Kalim copied this without realizing)
He is so used to being a business man, that sometimes he forgets to be a father. It's not that he doesn't care, it's more than sometimes he forgets HOW to, and has to be reminded from time to time.
Physically, all I can say is that Kalim looks a hell of a lot like him, the main trait he got from his mom is the Pearl gray hair. The Garnet eyes (in our AU) is THE Asim trait.
