Please, please, please tell me how the Read-It stories came about! I wasn't here for the creation of the first one and I'm dying to know!

Alright, my dear! Buckle up as I give you a personal deep-dive into how my insomnia-addled brain behaves. 😌

I often go into periods where I just don't fall asleep, no matter how tired I am. I'll lay awake in bed for hours. These days, I just give up after one or two, go do something productive instead, and try again later.

The "problem" arises when several days pass without improvement. Right when I hit that slightly unfocused/over-tired/hyperactive/a million thoughts per minute state. What happens then is ideas take shape, ranging from mildly unhinged to tropey stuff. What if Garrus and Shepard pretended to date because Castis won't stop meddling in Garrus' love life? Or what if Garrus and Shepard make a pinky swear to get married if both were single by 35? What if Garrus cheated on Shepard and she dated his dad?

What if Garrus asked Reddit about what that human behavior meant?

I will say I often wind down after work with a particular podcast that reads reddit stories aloud. Mostly from relationship advice, AITAH, and best of. I mention this because I'm sure it had something to do with the idea.

I thought "tropey, fun, I can go as crazy as I want in the comment section and have fun with the usernames" and got stuck on execution. Did I just write it out? Rich text it? That would sort of defeat the point, I felt, so I pulled up some old HTML knowledge and watched too many tutorials and how tos to count. Add AO3's restrictions with HTML and CSS on top, and there was A LOT of trial and error to figure out how to make it work.

But I got there in the end. 👀

And now I have dope usernames like BeesInMyAss, PooIsMyReligion, MilkMeElcor, CumLaudePHD, CertifiedChairSniffer, and KnotThatDeep.

Part 2 was just an extension of part 1. When he got the girl and enough time passed, she hinted at making it official and he needed to go back to learn what the hell her behavior meant again.

So yeah.

Tropey idea, not enough sleep, every <div> needs a </div>, it's fun but a lot of work. 😅

Well Its Official I finally got the anime girl to dance at the bottom of the screen

(Why I need a new laptop: 

A: The ventilation is shot, like it does whatever it wants, otherwise the whole dang thing gets overheated and it will automatically shut down if its too hot. Trust me, if you’re doing stuff, and it isn’t saved you better hope autosave saves your rear when it just shuts down randomly. 

B: The grating where my ventilation is starting to fall off. You think I’m joking, I am not. For gods sakes, there’s only two bars of the entire thing left and the top part is broken off. It is those two bars that keeps it in place surprisingly. 

C: My battery is starting to go. When I first got this laptop, it used to be able to last at least 4 hours (if I’m doing little activity) or at least 3 when I’m working. No, it’s like an hour and fifty minutes without the charger and if I just leave it alone. ITS LESS WHEN IM WORKING. If I don’t have my charger on me, trust me, hell will break loose if this laptop dies before I do. 

D: If I didn’t know any better I think my laptop is starting to let the battery slip out of place and IT IS LOCKED IN PLACE, BY THE WAY. That is the worst case scenario ever. 

Not to worry though.... As long as my hard drive is okay and can be salvaged, I can use that for next my laptop. Word of advice kiddos, ALWAYS SALVAGE YOUR HARD DRIVE FROM SOON TO BE DEAD LAPTOPS. And buy a little handy device that will let your hard drive act as a big USB flashdrive. It is worth.

Now I got a little off topic with that. You see, my theme won’t be complete for a really long time because one, I hate html, and two my laptop is the b word. I set the expectation bar pretty low here. I gave up about an hour in and passed out for four hours, I’m literally just waking up. So with that being said, please don’t expect much and expect a dead body from me here. Uhhh, I technically only have two more days of class but I also have a research paper so just to get this out, things are going to be slow.)
