i cannot believe zendaya, florence, and anya get hate anywhere 😟 ive genuinely never seen any, but i only live on tumblr, reddit, and tiktok, so maybe that explains it 😶 twitter must really be something. that is crazyyyyyyyy. but so true abt hating young hollywood when its not fun and quirky anymore omg

agreed. i get the vibe that bc hes so conventionally good looking, talented at his craft, and so private about himself, that everyone picks straws at whatever they can hate on him for just bc he's everywhere. its bizarre having been here since his beautiful boy days and seeing new waves of hate anytime hes on a red carpet now and ppl loving to laugh at how he could be found attractive by anyone, like theyre so special bc they dont. if we have to compare, zendaya doesnt get treated this way at all, and yet they tack all the same boxes i just mentioned earlier (and i love zendaya too). whenever i tell ppl im a fan of timothee the first response is always some variation of gawking at how skinny and lean he is. i had a friend that said even though he should be her type, his chin really bothers her. 🤨 that may be true but i personally have never heard a chin being a turn off. unless we're talking like american dad or something but like 💀

oh no, zendaya absolutely gets the same treatment, as does florence pugh and now anya taylor joy at least on twitter. to me it just comes down to a young actor reaching a level of success where it’s no longer quirky and unique to like them… and so what is left? insulting them, undermining their talent, making degrading jokes that no one finds funny. i’ve seen z be targeted by the most racist vile people there are actually several accounts on twitter dedicated to attacking her… and it’s also started with taylor russell.. like i understand that not every celebrity and actor speaks to everyone but how hard is it to ignore them? like i have celebs i loathe too.. but i’m not wasting my breath on them? i just don’t see the point idk💁🏻‍♀️

per your last anon i have to ask -- what do you think abt ppl who make jokes abt timothee looking like a sick malnourished victorian child??? i admit at first i thought it was funny bc i thought everyone was being facetious about it, but now its more an actual thing ppl say to intentionally rag on him and point out how "ugly" he is, esp ppl outside of his fanbase, and its super uncomf every time i see the posts🧍🏻‍♀️

i think there's a difference between a fan saying something like that.. vs someone who dislikes him just for the hell of it. i agree, it's NASTY because everyone has such a problem with body shaming until it's timothée chalamet, although i think the one that bothers me the most are people comparing him to rodents and like rats? he's JEWISH... like there's anti semitic history... everyone takes issues with these comparisons until again it's him? idk it's probs bc they can't insult his talent and career that they aim for his looks... but these people are losers regardless.

it would be fun, if the stuff dc put out was actually well written (affectionate). im a diehard titans/ntt fan, yet the writing on the hbo show is ABYSMAL…. ill still come back for the next season bc theyre having brother blood 🙄🙄🙄 BUT. with all the flaws of the mcu, theyre just more consistent with the gp. its so hard telling ppl you merely prefer dc over marvel and you get looked at like you just committed murder every time. every time!!! yet i bet every single person that has reacted that way to me has never picked up a comic book in their life!!!!!

i’m not reallyyy talking about the quality of all the dc shows, movies, comics, whatever - just that they allow the space for all these things to exist without being one big cohesive story. they’re just all their own thing and different takes on the stories and characters. they’re far from perfect but that general idea allows for so much more creativity and innovation. the mcu might have a sort of cohesive story but the writing isn’t actually all that compelling or creative. like the mcu tv shows have been a hot mess. i don’t care if it’s consistent if i’m bored as hell and there’s no other marvel content bc the mouse is sniping it all and altering the original comic characters. also i think dc movies and shows are doing a lot better right now with things like the suicide squad, peacemaker, and the batman being so good in the past year.

hi! i really love your blog and your posts, and i find it so fascinating to see so many takes *against* the mcu sm within the marvel fandom, like i didnt even know that existed until i followed you. im honestly just curious to ask (and ik this q is probably so overdone 🥴) but bc you like both dc and marvel comics, yet are critical abt the gp-beloved mcu, im wondering as someone who follows the source material what your opinion is on the dceu and mcu? like, despite the mcu’s flaws, do you still prefer it over the dceu? bc theyre both so diff in how they adapt their stories, is there anything abt one or the other that you admire or just loathe? id love to pick ur brain on the topic!

tbh, i do like dc comics but i really haven’t read that much of them yet compared to marvel. i have a bunch of secondhand knowledge from my friends and mutuals who are dc readers, but i don’t feel knowledgeable enough to be critical on the same level. like i just don’t know what i’m talking about so i’ll reblog stuff from dc fans, but i’m not really out here making my own posts like i do when i complain about marvel lolll.

i think i lean towards the mcu over dceu bc i’m just more familiar with it (i mean, i grew up with it), but honestly at this point, i don’t really care for either. they each sometimes put out movies/shows that i enjoy (birds of prey and shang-chi for example) but i find them both disappointing overall, especially when it comes to a lot of the newer stuff. one thing i do like about dc though, is that they allow for the existence of a bunch of different adaptations in shows and movies simultaneously. like they’ve got the dceu, arrowverse, hbo dc shows, the animated shows, and the robert pattinson batman movie. and even when the adaptations aren’t “comic accurate” or whatever, i like that it just feels like a bunch of different versions and takes on the characters and stories. while the mcu only allows for one version of everything to the point that the comics change and shows that don’t align are cancelled. i could be fine with the mcu adaptations to an extent if it didn’t have such a negative impact on the source material and the possibility for other adaptations :/ but at this point, i’m not going out of my way to keep up with either (except for shang-chi and eternals). i don’t think either franchise makes consistently good movies or shows, and i can only watch so much military propaganda

Almost a ship war i think? 🤔 Then they posted the screencaps from last episode, which Blackfire ends up discovering who satisfies Kory's urges 👀 Most are thinking it was because of these reactions.
