My Dragon <3
First, I must credit @vaneshifts for coming up with this magnificent species. I don't know you, but I love you for it. I will tag her original post of her dragon here, so I don't have to rewrite the basics (I'm a lazy ass).
My girl, Shade "Shae", is the opposite of the image above, and is black with white fades, patterns etc. It allows her to blend into the night and underwater much better. I've put the Whipscale in the Strike Class and I did change the fire-power to acidic fire, which can change trajectory, power, etc.
I love that these dragons are conventionally unattractive, I always love something that's out of the ordinary. I've even scripted that the Whipscales are sweet by nature once finding they aren't in danger, so their personalities really go against their appearance. I personally think they're gorgeous 😍 I also love that they have both fur and scales, it's so unique.
Shade is a very overprotective dragon, the type that doesn't show her soft side to many because she's always so defensive. Many mistake her for aggressive but she genuinely believes that anyone who hasn't earnt her trust is out to hurt her. She is very sweet though, with a big attitude (this is probably an all round thing too lol). If there's anyone she doesn't like around, she acts all grumpy like her day is completely ruined even if they haven't done anything lol. She has somewhat of a strange maternal instinct towards smaller dragons for some unknown reason and rarely gets playful but when she does she plays rough and sometimes forgets other dragons are smaller than her. She'd protect anyone she loves with her life.
I'll add this into my httyd dr intro when I post it. I would redraw the image above with darker colours but since idk the original artist I won't do that.
