GUYS AMANDA ABBINGTON TOOTHLESS HTTYD2 I'M DYING
halleluyall replied to your post:hi i was wondering if i should watch httyd2 in imax or like normal 3d, are the extra dollars really worth it?
I’ve seen in it 2D, 3D, and IMAX, and IMAX was definitely the best out of all three! The screen was huge, and the sound was fantastic. And the IMAX was actually the same price as regular 3D!
Thank you for your advice!
There you go anon!

Hi there!
I actually haven’t watched it in IMAX yet so I wouldn’t know. But in 3D vs. 2D, I thought that 3D was definitely better. (and apparently 3D screenings are ending this weekend in the US so you’d better hurry!)
IMAX questions… avannak: preferences/opinions?
Actually, anyone who has seen it in IMAX have any feedback?
OKAY, I JUST WATCHED HTTYD2...
sEND HELP i'M DYING
*goes to rewatch HTTYD2 with the sole purpose to absorb all of Hiccup's gestures/expressions/body/voice because that is a seriously attractive piece of CGI*
Saw HTTYD2 a second time with shadethenightfury and friends :)
avannak was supposed to be with us, but she ended up in the other theater, the 3D showing. pffffffft
I definitely appreciate the movie more the second time around, especially because I noticed a lot of things I didn't notice the first watch (for example, the heartbreaking Hiccspressions Hiccup makes during the second half). And the pacing issues from my first watch weren't really... noticeable anymore either (but I also think that's because this is my second time watching it).
Also I appreciate everyone's comments/analyses already! I love it because a lot of you actually have pointed out things I haven't even noticed, even though I've watched it twice already.
Once more tomorrow! Let's see if I can get even more emotionally invested in this...
How is everyone?
Taking place five years after the events of the first movie, How to Train Your Dragon 2 finds our Viking hero Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) a confident young man, who spends his days on adventures with his dragon friend Toothless. In this clip, we see Hiccup and his friends coming to the defense of a new character: Hiccup’s long-lost mother Valka (Cate Blanchet). Valka, we learn, has been raising a colony of dragons on an island haven — now under attack by a winged army led by the villainous Drago (Djimon Hounsou). Just when things are looking bleak, Valka unleashes her secret weapon: the colossal Bewilderbeast.
