Creatures from Chilean Mapuche folklore - the pihuicheñ, chonchoñ, colocolo, ngúrúvilu, trelquehuecufe (cuero), and huaillepeñ.
From Guevara (1908) Psicolojia del Pueblo Araucano.
A water monster from Librum Prodigiosum! The Huallepen, from Chilean mythology! This calf-sheep beast lurks in lakes and rivers at night, and can curse the unborn children of pregnant people who accidentally get too close!
The Huallepen is a cow-like creature found in the rivers of Chile. The Huallepen is described as having the head of a cow, the body of a sheep, and flippers where its feet should be. The Huallepen is nocturnal and is said to breed with other animals which causes their offspring to have birth defects and it is said that if a pregnant woman dreams of this creature three nights in a row their baby will be born with birth defects.
The Huallepen is a strange, water-dwelling creature from Chilean mythology. It has the body of a sheep and the head of a calf, with short front legs, twisted feet, and the back end of a seal.
Huallepen live in shallow pools, roaming onto the land to mate with herd animals. This will typically result in deformed offspring. It is said that if a pregnant woman comes near a Huallepen, her child will be born with a muzzle and twisted legs.

Name: Huallepen + Camahueto
Alternate Names: Huallipen, Guallipen
Mythology: Both come from South American Mythology, Chilote Mythology
Size: Huallepen are small like a lamb, Camahueto are large like a Walrus.
Environment: Lakes, most often in lakes with Amhuluk, as they are their creators.
In Mythika: Camahueto were once normal cows but they fell into the corrupted lakes of an Amhuluk and so they mutated into horrifying mutants, now resembling a horrid mix of cow, unicorn and seal. Camahueto also gained intelligence from the magical waters of the Amhuluk and serve it like it is their parent. Camahueto have the most vile way of reproducing of all known creatures, whenever they are seen by pregnant creatures (they must be intelligent though) their corrupting gazes will mutate the unborn infant into a Huallepen (second picture), which is a calf-version of the Camahueto, the poor mother will never survive the birth and the newborn Huallepen’s skin makes sure it won’t be killed as everything that touches this creatures sickening skin will mutate into horrid forms, at least their hands will, if they hold it for too long their entire body will mutate. Both these creatures are favorite creations of the Amhuluk, as they help it with creating more mutants with their bizarre abilities. In Mythika’s battles there won’t be pregnant women, so their abilities are mostly about mutating other features (such as hands and legs) so attacks are weakened and speed is decreased, their aura’s can also corrupt healing potions if the battle takes too long, so killing these horrors fast is important. Healing magic works well against their mutating abilities, but spells must be cast fast, if too much time has passed the transformations are lasting. A Camahueto has a unicorn-like horn, this horn will reverse any mutant-effect it has caused.
