Hudson Mohawke is kind of a dope ass producer. That anybody this side of the world is working with him is kind of amazing to me, for that person to be Jimin and not say Yoongi or RM, has me a bit speechless to be honest. But I'm reserving judgment until I actually hear the music - Hudmo might just create with Jimin a sound he's never had before.
He's done a lot of work in hip hop and worked with Kanye West's label for years. His music is a bit psychedelic. Sometimes very bassy or very brassy. I've come to really love and anticipate his work on rap tracks but the way I discovered him was actually through a pop singer. I love Selah Sue and the first time I heard The Light I needed to know who worked on it. I googled and read a bit about Hudson Mohawke then (did you know he has a 2009 studio album called Butter?).

Like any young white man in music, he's also into House, Techno, and making remixes. The difference is HudMo is actually good.
I have no idea what to expect with Jimin working with him. I don't want to hope and be disappointed, but this is a very promising development. I want Jimin to surprise me, and for a long time I didn't think he would. But I'm starting to feel differently.
We'll see. :)
