Everyone keeps saying that Purpee has a Welcome to Night Vale feel to it, but I have to disagree! Not all weird fictional towns are the same!

Night Vale is a place where everything appears surrealist and horrifying, but underneath the surface the core of the show and the town itself is familiar and relatable everyday conflicts: a local mayoral race, a long distance relationship, difficult family dynamics.

Purpee seems like a town where everything looks normal at first glance, but it becomes more scary and threatening the deeper you dig.

I always loved the Disney adaptation. Kanga was a mother figure, especially to Tigger. It's so sweet to think of Tigger being welcomed as her own son!
